Really cool. I had never seen a Monark Flyer with the jet graphics. Learn something new everyday. About a month ago, I found a CWC version but the graphics are a bit different. As far as cleaning, I wouldn't hit the graphics with chemicals or steel wool! Sharp bike man

I would guess late 40s or early 50s Monark built Super Cruiser. I have a 52 model. Yours is nice. Not sure if it would have had the pedestal light or the train light. I have seen nice completes anywhere from $700 up to $1100 on ebay

Yep...it is a Murray built frame...most likely a Higgins. One of my favorite frames.The lug where the seat post and top tube come together is a dead giveaway. I think your serial number is MOS M instead of MUS M. The letter "M" after MOS means it is a 1956. Tanks aren't too hard to find for...

Here she is. I have no plans for the finished bike other than it being a rolling pile Scrap Metal. Just going to get started and see where it goes. Only things I know for sure: 1957 JC Higgins frame Raw metal or at least partial raw metal CWC peaked fenders with curved braces 3 speed Fat 26"...

Nice. Our builds will be very similar. Probably not going shiny on mine though. Just raw metal and fenders for sure! I love the patina on your tank. Not sure I could strip that down.

So, I am cleaning up my CWC Western Flyer tanker and the tank graphics look much better. Still a few dents, dings, etc...It has the really nice "survivor" look that I like. The only problem is that the graphics are really fragile and the paint is a bit dull from age. I am thinking about maybe...
