First one looks like a Monark to me. Pretty cool frame....

    late 50's murray tanker?

This same Murray built frame was badged as Higgins, Murray, Western Flyer and Firestone...maybe more! Get tired of your Higgins? Swap out the badge and you have a Western Flyer!

    late 50's murray tanker?

So the P on the serial number should indicate a 1958. Interesting that it is MOT and not MOS tho. My 57 is "MOS N"

    late 50's murray tanker?

Nice! I am using the same frame for BoTen. Mine is a '57 and badged as a Higgins. Looking forward to seeing your build

    CWC Jet tanker and more

Memory Lane had nice deals on Higgins beehive springers.... $50-70 depending on the chrome.

    CWC Jet tanker and more

Thanks guys....I think it is going to be a stunner with some elbow grease. I'll probably just clean it up and put some nice wheels/tires and make a rider out of it. I think I'm going to swap the fender braces out with some CWC curved braces.

    CWC Jet tanker and more

Yeah, so does Chris! Still regret selling it!

    CWC Jet tanker and more

Went up to Memory Lane today. Found a beehive for my BoTEN bike. Also found this 26" Western Flyer badged CWC with jet graphics on the tank. Bike was pretty crusty, but I really think most of it is just dirt. The graphics were really dark and dirty. I took a sponge and some soap and water and it...

    Memory Lane / Ann Arbor / April 23rd, 24th and 25th

I'm going to ML on Thursday this year and then AA on Sunday. I have the typical list of hard to find parts and I'll be looking for junk to use in BoTen

    ROAD BIKES LETS SEE EM

My Salsa loaded down and doing some gravel touring. I think this was day 3 of the trip. Not really a road bike, but I built this Surly Ogre over the winter for some backwoods bikepacking.

    Columbia Firebolt 'Newsgirl'

That is the site. Fantastic information on Columbias. I hadn't seen a girls middleweight until about a year ago so who knows...maybe there was a girls balooner? trying to figure it all out is half the fun. Either way, that frame ended up in good hands

    Columbia Firebolt 'Newsgirl'

You already have one of my BoTen votes as it sits.... I think one of the users here or on the Cabe has a Columbia website with a ton of good info. I couldn't find his site, but hopefully he'll chime in. If I remember correctly, these integrated frames first started on the Newsboys in 1963. They...

    Columbia Firebolt 'Newsgirl'

That Newsgirl is pretty sharp! Is it a middleweight? I have a balloner Newsboy and wonder if they ever made a ballooner girls Newsie

Anyone else planning for BOTEN (RRBBO#10) yet?

I think I have my "BO-X" project picked out, but Memory Lane and Ann Arbor are at the end of April, so there is always the possibility that I'll find something better.
