    Tanker project

Hey Walker...Thanks for the offer, but I have several of those rings in the shop. For some reason these Murray style bikes seem to follow me home on a fairly regular basis. Chris...thanks man. You entering BoTen? I am pretty sure this one is just going to be a raw/primer cruiser. I might take...

    Tanker project

New project on the way. I've always liked the rounded style tank and the rear rack with tail light lenses. I have a nice set of bare metal CWC peaked fenders with curved braces that might look pretty cool. Maybe I'll find a ratty springer fork and just assemble it as is....gray primer and bare...

Anyone else planning for BOTEN (RRBBO#10) yet?

Two DNFs over past two buildoffs. That is not happening again. I've been collecting some pretty cool parts. It will be one of those bikes that is nothing special and won't place well, but everyone would enjoy being seen on it. Just a cool old rat.

    Farm Fresh Western Flyer X-53

Awesome bike and on my list as well. Some bikes are just flat out cool designs. The X53 is right up there with the Super Cruisers in my opinion

    Super Cruiser

Turning the Super Cruiser into a rider for the upcoming summer vintage rides. Added some apes, skull tassels, a raccoon tail and plan to switch it over to a three speed this weekend.

ELITISM IN RAT ROD BIKE COMMUNITY?

I do road bikes, long distance touring, mountain bikes and even time trial racing. I collect vintage originals, I build rats and I have a hipster fixie. If you ride a bike, you're ok by me. For what it's worth, I've met nothing but super cool people on this site

    (MBBO Class 1) MiniMuscle

Thanks guys...My local chrome guy isn't too bad on prices, so we'll see. A friend who owns Links-n-Kinks bike shop does some amazing powder coating, so that might be an option. If I go that direction, I'll do something like flat charcoal bike with all the chrome in a gloss black?

    (MBBO Class 1) MiniMuscle

Picked up this little brute for my grandson. I build a 12" Schwinn Lil Tiger for my older grandson and was pretty happy with how it turned out. This one is an early 70s 12" Western Flyer. Since I am doing the build anyway, I might as well enter it into MBBO 2014. It is going to be a pretty basic...

Purple Banana - 12" Western Flyer

Finally got the little beast torn down. I think it is going ot be an awesome little project. Starting to reconsider the purple color as I found a set of sweet red wheels. Anyone know where I can get this little sissy bar chromed cheap? One problem I ran into is that while the fenders...

Purple Banana - 12" Western Flyer

Got my grandson's Western Flyer in the mail today. Pretty cool little bike. The plans are to go with air filled tires with a coaster brake. Not sure about saving the seat. The way it is made will make it tough to recover. I may have to find a replacement. Anyway, here it is in all it's glory. I...

    Darn kids :)

I'll save it, just not sure if I'll paint it, powdercoat it or chrome it! Honestly thats what I liked most about the bike!

    Darn kids :)

So grandson #2 will be old enough for his first bike this spring, so originally I thought I would pass down the '71 Lil Tiger I built for his older brother who has outgrown it. The more I thought about it, I decided to heck with that. I am going to build him his own ride! I figure that way I'll...

    MBBO#3 and 2015 Winter BO.

Hmmmm...I skipped out on BoNine and I typically am not a mucle bike guy, but I do have an extra 1966 Huffy build Firestone GTO MB frame sitting in the garage.

    VOTE HERE!!!

Renaissance Man is an artist with mad fab skills. I had the pleasure to meet him this past spring. 1st place is well deserved. I did vote for his bike. Personally 1941 was my favorite bike overall. It was more of a resurrection than a build, but it turned out awesome. Look up bicycle coolness in...

    VOTE HERE!!!

I hate to say it, but I just wasn't motivated enough to build this year....however I did follow many of the builds with great interest. I cast my three votes today. Tons of amazing bikes....Berkshire. 1941, Cyco, Drag King, Enigma, StarsnBars and the list goes on. There are many ways to...
