    1941 Cycle Truck Value?

    Nice buy!

    1941 Cycle Truck Value?

Honestly, I have never bought a bike or parts for the purpose of flipping. I have bought projects because I needed something and then sold the rest, but I never consider how much could I make. I look at it like if I can buy it cheap enough, I can buy something else!

    1941 Cycle Truck Value?

I had a member offer to sell me one for $700 and it was a good bit nicer than this one. Still regret not buying it. It was either the truck or a complete Firestone SuperCruiser for $400. Didn't have the cash for both! The basket is a huge plus. Back wheel doesn't "look" heavy duty enough to...

    bike hobby changing?

I went with the 6800 11spd group on my Specialized. I hope to have it back together in a few days....I have to say I am impressed with the look and feel. I usually run Mavic wheels, so they should fit the 11spd cluster just fine.

Winter Swap In The South-Feb 22 (Dallas, GA)

Well, I have Get-A-Grip, yours and also the one in Eden, NC on my radar. It will depend on how work goes and my on call schedule. I hope you are going to Ann Arbor the following Sunday?...I mean it isn't that far away and Ann Arbor is probably the most amazing show I have been to. What are your...

    bike hobby changing?

Yeah, I was thinking how the hobby has changed in the past few years. I do a fair amount of swap meets and I am seeing rougher condition bikes as a whole and they are selling for more money. That tells me that the hobby is on an upswing where there are more collectors and less available quality...

Winter Swap In The South-Feb 22 (Dallas, GA)

I am kicking around the idea of a road trip to hit one of the warmer shows down south. Thinking either this one or the Get-A-Grip....we'll see how it turns out. Some of you guys from the South should come up to Memory Lane/Ann Arbor weekend in April. It is always an amazing weekend

    Hot Rods....little ones

Yeah, seriously cool stuff. There is a local hobby shop that has a track, so I'm going to pay them a visit. I also found a box full of track and assorted controllers. Nothing seems to go together but I'll figure it out. Probably going to put a speedway in the basement mancave now!

    Hot Rods....little ones

Found this treasure chest of vintage slot cars and parts. Everything is a little dirty, but in nice shape. All the cars work just fine and all but about 4 of the motors scream to life when hooked up to a 9volt.

2014 Hoosier Antique & Classic Bicycle Club Winter Show/Swap

Yep...driving over in the morning. Thought about coming over tonight, but my kid has a hockey game later tonight and I don't want to miss it. I am bringing a rat bike over to enter/show

2014 Hoosier Antique & Classic Bicycle Club Winter Show/Swap

Yeah, weather starting to look a bit rough, but hey, it is winter in the Midwest. I plan to be there with a bike to show and looking to add a nice Firestone or nice OG paint classic to the collection.

Vintage MTB score! 1985 Gary Fisher w/ Deer Head Goodness!

Gary Fisher is a true pioneer of mountain biking. I mean not all of his ideas were home runs, but he was never afraid to try new stuff. That is a really cool bike. I think you'll see the early quality mountain bike popularity start to go up like BMX have. It is a shame that Trek absorbed his...

    1953 Shelby resto

    Countdown to RRBBO-9! ...START!

I didn't get in last year. I had everything I needed except time. My ballooner Newsboy frame is still sitting in the basement, so we'll see.

    1953 Shelby resto

Finally got around to working on this '53 Shelby I bought last year. I am really into the patina on the red tank, so I pulled it and put it aside for another day. I had another tank that was pretty much bare metal. I got the bike stripped down and it should get blasted this weekend. I am pretty...

    Columbia Firebolt

Lots of companies used a similar style tank/light assembly. You might find that another brand will fit. The girl's bikes are different, but boy's middle weight tanks are all fairly close. Columbia also made a ballooner version of this style frame in 63/64 under their Newsboy brand. I picked...
