SOLD 1939 Mesinger Schwinn World Leather Seat

Rare condition example. Leather in very nice condition, with treatment would be very serviceable. OG paint and light corrosion underneath can be preserved into a sweet survivor seat. Frame looks straight, no cracking around rivets. 11” long by 7 1/2” wide. Hate letting this one go, but you enjoy...

    SOLD Cruddy Fork

Probably Hawthorne, possibly pre-war. Suspect 26” wheel fitment, 28” would be tight. Steering neck slightly bent, by design or by accident. Ghostly splashes of a blue or green paint, barely. Solid and crusty at the same time, which we all know is a feature not a fault. $50 shipped to the Lower...

⬡⬣⬡⬣⬡ HEXtreme ⬡⬣⬡⬣⬡ --- Sexy HEXy Is DONE! - Ride (PIC HEAVY) + Walkaround VIDEO!!

Of course I’ll be contrary. I dig the 346 tires, especially with other touches the same tone, such as leather seat and leather grips. Subtle. That said, the way she sits is spectacular. Neck injuries from double takes inbound. furyus

    Quirk

Yeah, I wish I had discovered this geometry earlier. It’s the twenty I’ve been looking for without knowing it. Since I’ve ridden so many 20’s I’m used to the squirrel aspect and find this bike really stable. A few changes in where I’m sitting and what I’m holding should make it even better. furyus

    Quirk

Just a little background. The Huffy Pro Thunder Max was a copy of the Mongoose MooseGoose, both very early 80’s creations. The idea never really caught on, a nearly forgotten “quirk“ in the early history of BMX. I love 20” bikes, but they’re frankly pretty hard to ride as an adult. I saw this...

'53 Bel Airflow Shelby: The 7th Annual OddJob Awards! Pg 22!

Great pic of your dad. My dad had a ‘53 too. Great looking cars. So what’s the story with “The Bismark?” Love how it’s misspelled and has a happy little curl of smoke from the stack. Fascinated by that ship when I was a kid as well. furyus

    ELGIN TWIN 9

Love the blue, pretty rare color, at least on a boys bike. Just a thought, what about flipping the tank upside down? Looking forward to watching this one progress. furyus

    Almost safe

Step-through frames are nice, especially pre and early post-war era. Love the patina and color on this one, too. Besides, it’s rude to assign a gender to a frame based on assumptions. Hope you heal quickly. furyus

    Quirk

1982 Huffy Pro Thunder Max. We’re both too old to huck around much, but we’ll be right at home on a paved path, boardwalk or in the pits. No fabrication, just attention to detail and parts that compliment each other. And shiny for a change. furyus

I should clarify, he didn’t do the actual artwork. Instead, he was the chief editor and gave all the artists direction on what he wanted. Your friend wasn’t alone in stashing a few sheets; it’s estimated that there are 90-100 million Elvis stamps in collections worldwide. furyus

I am very proud of him, thank you. Of course, I haven’t accomplished one percent of what he did, though I’ve managed to carry my own water all these years. He started at the postal service in ‘81 while he was still at the National Geographic, where he retired as Art Director in 1991. He retired...

Actually it was “young” Elvis or “old” Elvis, but everyone saw it just like you - skinny or not-so-skinny. The Elvis stamp came out in ‘93, so the polling had to have been ‘91 or ‘92. He did a ton of other cool stuff, and I’ve got some of the concept proofs hanging on the wall around the house...

You had to bring up stamps! My late father had his hand in designing over 400 stamps, including this one from 2006 (issue, actually in the works since 2003): He also did the infamous Elvis stamp, which has sold over 500 million copies. furyus

I concur with requisite rust. And I might be getting a little shinier this time around, too. furyus

Well, you’ve knocked it out of the park as far as looking good goes. Love the finish, too, right down to the dirt on the tires. I’m certain bigger (reallybig) will be better, and to cruise, even at parade speed, would be best. Will be watching for sure. furyus

I don’t see how they’re ridden, but aesthetically, remarkably beautiful. Definitely look forward to what you build this year. Reallycoolbikes, Reallybigtim. furyus
