its finally sunny again so I guess I`ll update this old forgotten thread.I`m gonna start with the big red Firebike that ive owned since 2008. I freshened it up a couple months ago by chopping another 1-1/4" off of the forks, adding the 80mm 2spd wheel set, different headlight,2 new chains and some...
I like the kahaki frames, but im thinking about selling my Firebike so I can build a TSP-class frame!:cool2: the Ruff dean went to the powder coaters today,so im already planning another money-pit build.
there are lots of youtube videos about that old deserted section of the Pennsylvania turnpike. some people bike it,others urban explore it. looks like fun to me!
got a Firebike, bare metal `47 Schwinn and my 2012 buildoff bare metal CWC Roadmaster in my living room.oh yeah...and a Ruff Dean in the corner mock up stand! if I tilt my head just right...I can see my tv!
if its a standard style triple tree fork, it would be a whole lot less work to just slide the tubes upward to your desired ride height, then hack them off.
I`d know that fence anywhere! many a bike has been photographed there over the years. I found it odd one time when I googled 1957 Murray Fleetliner, and the first thing that popped up was my bike in front of my nasty old garage door!
You can pickup old tractor lights on eBay fairly cheap. Take apart an led flashlight, wire it up with a battery pack and toggle switch and blaze on! I've used old motorcycle running lights and spotlights also.
looks like you made the critical mass tonight! pretty sure I saw you ride by at the intersection of West gray/Waugh drive.....where I was stuck for 25 min. I get trapped about 3 times a year coming home from work. lol! bike looks really nice.
