    THE NAME OF THIS PLACE

I know the 'traditional' car hot rodders disdain the 'ratrod' moniker, but they HAD a history of traditional hot rodding. We didn't. We had the OG cruisers of the '40s-'50s and then the muscle bike era of the '60s-'70s. That's about it. I too, wish we could come up with another name that...

    A helmet...

I bought one of those 'nevelty' German Helmets with the minimal padding and it just looked too clunky given the little padding inside. Turns out they only come in one shell size XL, so if you have a small head, you're still gonna get the XL shell size. So I decided to go the OG route and get a...

HOW A BICYCLE IS MADE (1945)

Great vid Steve. Someone please tell me how they dipped bike frames in enamel paint without it RUNNING??!!! And those ladies installing the tubes and tires! I'd hate to be one of their kids and get into trouble. She'd be able to whack me into the next town with those beefy arms! :)

    Whammo wheelie bar question

I don't know the correct term, but it might be 'trucks' the assembly that holds the wheels on the steel plate. Did this assembly have movement from side to side like on a skate baord or was it immovable.

Yeah, this one should be a hoot. Philly has much to offer, besides the soft pretzels and cheese steaks, which we intend to conquer. We'd love to see some new faces. Spin

First Ride in 50+ years: 2023 Update

Re: First Ride in 50+ years, he never forgot Wonderful stroy. Spend as much time as you can with those of the 'greatest generation'. My Dad was 86 when he passed away 1 month ago. Although I never got him on a bike, I take comfort in sharing my passion of bikes with him. Spin

water slide decals over powdercoat: they work?

I spoke with Pete at Hyper-Formance, THE man for all things Schwinn Sting-ray and asked him about this. He sells official decals and knows about their applications. He made it pretty clear to me. PCoat is like a plastic coating, so not much will stick to plastic. He likened it to the surface...

water slide decals over powdercoat: they work?

Hey all, I seem to get conflicting opinions on this. Some say you have to add clear lacquer over the powdercoat before you add the 'cals. Or do you clear over the 'cals once there on the powderoat? Thx
