*Silent Assassin* - Rear Fender Added

What's up Kingfish! Last week was my first week in my new position at my job, and I've had a few curveballs thrown in my direction which has kept me busy quite a bit. The good news is during this time both the street hog tires and 3G Jemimas arrived at my doorstep. The hub caps are here as...

That's what I'm dreading will happen to me , but maybe I'm overreacting and won't feel as bad as I think from working the extra hours. Thanks for the congratulatory remarks, and I'm positive that you'll experience better days ahead in your new position. Congrats to you on your promotion...

*Silent Assassin* - Rear Fender Added

I forgot to mention that I'm starting to feel a little pressure in terms of completing this build. Reason being is that I recently received a promotion at my job in which my transfer date is July 1st (roughly six days away  )! Luckily, I'll be off work on the Fourth of July as well as...

I won these hubcaps on eBay and made the payment. While browsing at many different options, these were the only hubcaps that had the kind of concave element to them that I like. They are approximately 10 inches across and 8.5 inches across the inside of the back, so they're not overly big or...

Serenity (1915 Sears Chief Custom) - Updated & Finished

Had to make some minor changes to Serenity. I was having some difficulties with the steering due to a having a stem with a bolt that had stripped threading. So, I bought a new stem a while back and so far it's worked like a charm. While mounting the stem to the steer tube, I happened to...

Here are a few hub cap options I'm considering: All three have a setup that will make it easy to mount to the plate and still maintain a clean profile on the wheels.

Good to hear from you and I appreciate the compliment! Hopefully, the use of hubcaps will generate a successful outcome.

Rattled (ex ≈ PeaceTogether ≈ name change)

I am truly honored by your kind words and appreciate the love you're showing towards my build. I found the thread about the wheel discs made from metal trash can lids that outskirts was referring to: http://ratrodbikes.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=37805&st=0&sk=t&sd=a. Great job with your...

Well, I went ahead and just finished making a purchase on this wheelset: The wider wheels were simply too much to resist  ! I'm seeing Kingfish's words appearing on the thread, "Mo Fatta Mo Betta!" Instead of the other way around, fender placements will be adjusted to the wheels and...

 Wow  what a great looking bike! I'm glad I was able to spark some inspiration. You've definitely given me the shot in the arm needed to play with this idea. Thanks to you as well!

Your kind words are very much appreciated. The thought just hit me one day like a ton of bricks, and I've been trying to ignore it ever since but can't :). The concept of a 144-spoke wheel is the same regardless if the appearance of the wheel is 1.75, 2.125, or even 3 inches wide. As nice as...

*Silent Assassin* - Rear Fender Added

144 spokes look too good to cover up! The plan was only to use wheel covers & hubcaps with the Jemimas if it's the route I choose to go, but of course I continue to get in my own way and remain conflicted about a wheel choice :?. Your reassurance means a great deal, but I'll be extremely :D...

This is likely the route I'll go if I decide to use 140-spokes, but lately I've been unable to shake this idea I have in my head for the Jemima's. It would be a marriage of the black wheel covers... with Nash dog dish hubcaps... or with Ford baby moon hubcaps... Suggestions are welcome!

*Silent Assassin* - Rear Fender Added

BINGO...that's correct! Thanks buddy! I feel like I had a breakthrough! Even if I don't make an effort to go with a wider wheelset, at least there's a set of fat tires in play to maximize the clearance in the dropouts. Hopefully, they'll assist with any ground clearance issues that...

:D FINALLY :D !!!! I went ahead and placed an order for tires and got these: Street Hog 26x2.35 - Front Street Hog II 26x2.40 - Rear Hopefully, it won't be too long of a waiting game to get them. Still undecided about the wheelset but hope to have that issue resolved very, very soon!

I found an LBS in South Carolina that sells these bad boys for over half the price of the ones located in Germany (which I'm sure overseas shipping has a lot to do with the cost).
