Decided on butchering,here's the new bracket.Now on to paint, I want to try and keep some of original crust showing through so I will match the paint on the tank.

I know I can make it fit, i just always feel a little guilty messing up old parts,but this is just a spare for my Elgin so i guess I dont need it. It is in pretty rough shape.

It's just sitting in other guard, I would have to redesign the brackets to make fit.

Thanks, being home for months do to covid 19 gives you lots of free time,luckily I'm getting paid to sit at home.

The brackets dont line up and the down tube I'd too wide , think it will take too much altering.

2 months here no eating out,wife really wants a date night.

Toying with the idea if painting and altering this Elgin guard to fit, kinda dont want to ruin it.

It would look good with apes and a nanner but that's not my style.

It's a Schwinn Ruler, originally was yellow with a Schwinn style springer fork. It's also Aluminum and pretty light.

66 license plate install. I think it's coming together nicely.

Painted an old rusty light and screwed a push front light into the bulb socket.
