I got a long grade 8 bolt from the random bolt drawer that came with the house that just barely fit inside the seat post tube, and pounded it in with a BFH before cutting off the bolt head. A good hardware store might have bolts this big, but expect one to be a couple bucks.

Re: Rat Salad - 7/24 - not done but assembled Still needs the shift cable run and a few small adjustments, but here she is. Need headbadge screws, cable clamps and a cable stop, small parts where the cable connects to the actuator, etc

Re: Rat Salad - 7/24 - ready for assembly No sunshine today, but the paint is as done as it will ever be and the frame is ready for assembly! I'm not a big fan of the Krylon Fusion clear. I used it because I didn't want to chance the clearcoat melting the flake, which is spray can glitter...

Re: Rat Salad - 7/15 - paint almost done, wheels buil dumped the fifth can of clear on just now, and I think the paint is done. still have one can left, but I'm pretty happy at the moment.

Re: Rat Salad - 7/15 - paint almost done, wheels built frame is ready to hit with a little 600 grit before final clear and got the wheels built and true. found a matching araya hoop so I could ditch the dented steel rim that I had on the back before, and switched to a shimano coaster hub...

Re: Rat Salad - 7/1 - IN GREEN! saw the sword with karma to burn in portland a couple years back, then drove 17 hours to see the sword and kyuss in pomona, ca last summer. bought tickets way in advance because they were not going to play portland, then they ended up doing a show up here later...
