I have one too and love it. Bolted to the floor and wall, they are rock solid! Tell me that your upgrade is a way to make the drawers open the whole way...

These are 20" heavy duty steel wheels that showed up in the late 70's on some off-brand BMX and full suspension bikes. I remember seeing them on Rampar and Fuji bikes when I was a kid. The little Rollfast frame and fork has plenty of room for fat tires.

Thanks! I love my tools too but this was supposed to be a quick simple build. I didn't think I would have had to use any of them on a fairly clean, single speed kids bike. :21:

Not much building today, just some more parts scavenging and another cool tool shot... I had been saving a Brooks B-72 for my next klunker build but it just looked too big for this little bike. I thought a narrower one from a road bike might look better and remembered I had this old, well-worn...

I just now noticed there is a lot more Park stuff in my pictures than I thought. My tool obsession is getting out of hand! :rolleyes:

Frame after being stripped, bent, twisted, pried on, abused, re-aligned, sworn at, cleaned, and polished. The original paint is in really nice shape! I ended up reusing most of the original headset. One thing I found with Rollfast/Harris/Snyder is that nothing is really standardized with them...

The next job was to strip everything down, give it a clean and polish and start fitting the new parts... This was supposed to be easy and fun but it turned out to be neither of those things... :blackeye: The fork and rear triangle were both bent out of whack and needed some attention... I've...

Rear wheel laced up and true, tires mounted, and skippy cog installed!

The next thing to take care of is the tweaked fork. I get to use my favorite tool here! Looks a little better...

Now that I have a plan in order and most of the parts have been located, it's time to start putting this thing together. Time is kind of limited for me this year but I wanted something in the buildoff. A mini klunk is what we're going with. It *should* go together pretty quick and won't take up...

I ordered a couple things for it recently and since they're now here, I should probably get to building and doing some kind of a writeup... The Ourys look great on anything with an old school vibe and the skip tooth sprocket comes to us courtesy of Daniel at Ichi Bike...

OA is great stuff! I bought a big underbed storage container and it will hold a 20" frame nicely. Cleaned up the crunchy little Schwinn Tornado below with it last fall. The bike I have now is pretty clean and shouldn't need more than a polishing.

Quick, simple build. All the original parts not retained for the project will be saved. The paint is really nice so I'm keeping that. If I don't like how it turns out, the bike can always be put right back to original. The only "fabrication" I'm planning is to repair the slightly tweaked fork...

Suntour Xpress shifters used that style of cable around 1990-91. They're kind of scarce now. We used to file down other cable ends to get a "class 2" fit if we didn't have the correct one.
