what is my Huff cactus flowers value

Late 70's. I remember quite a few of these in my neighborhood when I was a kid. Looks like it will clean up real nice!

Possibly Stupid Question on Front Sprockets

Rule number one is that there are no stupid questions... :) Yes, that would work as long as you use a freewheel and not a coaster brake. You'll need a 3/32" chain and a freewheel sized for the narrow chain but it should work fine. There were a few BMX bikes that tried that setup with a double...

    Recommend a Thread Restoration Kit

How many speeds is the bike? Single speed coaster brake used one thread count, five speed used another, and the Sturmey Archer three speed is a real oddball.

These bars came off of a pre-war Schwinn DX that I turned into a Klunker... Love Klaxon horns! Had to use this. The chainguard from the other bike was coaxed into fitting on this one. Took a bit of finesse to get everything happy... With the rest of the parts fitted, we now have something...

With the frame stripped of everything and the ugly red Rollfast supplying most of the parts, I was good to go. I did want to do a few other upgrades. Let's see what's in the parts bins... I wanted a three piece crank and had this bottom bracket adapter sitting around doing nothing. I like...

I started looking it over and noticed everything was really solid and not beat up. I liked the peaked fenders with the way cool stripes. The frame was an interesting design too. It was plenty rusty but not pitted at all. More like that great barn find patina... It was growing on me fast and then...

So I bought this... To get this... The bike was $20 and I've seen those little badges sell for more than that and I kind of wanted one for a while. Didn't need the bike but i figured it might look good in one of my flower beds... Hmmmm. I have this left over, now what?

I'm still getting the internal server error message with some of my photo edits. Hopefully there is enough of the build stage posted... Don't want folks to think elves showed up in the middle of the night and turned a crusty bare frame into a complete bike! ;)

can anyone give me an average price for a 26 inch 5 speed drum brake rear wheel?

You could always do a rear disc brake. These Shimano units came on cheap 10-speeds in the mid 70's and are still affordable and somewhat common. Fairly easy to work with too.
