Base paint and about half of the black wipe on aging done. It turned out surprisingly well. That'll get finished when I get home. Assembly should start tomorrow. Just remembered that I need to fab a mount and suicide shifter for the Nexus though. This is why I never finish things on time...

Hmmm, I think I have not Higgins in my garage right now in a turquoisey color. Need to have it reassembled for the bike party this weekend also. So much work, so little time.

Crate's probably not going to get done on time, so the basket will get put back on for the time being.

Finishing up the faux rust on the bolt on rear. Went with the brown textured Rustoleum paint and then I'm going to rub flat black into it. Hopefully it will match up okay with the Higgins. Hoping the paint will get done tomorrow and I can start assembly.

The weather has not been cooperating with my need to paint so that's been driving my production down. Hopefully I can get most of it done by tomorrow and start assembling. I'm really hoping to have it ridable by Saturday for a bike party. I had wanted to building a wooden box for the back but...

What kind of metal flake paint did you use? I did a metal flake paint on my BO8 bike but it was very prone to chipping.

It's definitely rideable as is. Been looking for the right frame for my trike for a long time and this fit the look I want.

Picked up a crusty Higgins yesterday that has a very dark blackish rust patina. Any ideas on how to mimic that?

Picket up an awesome crusty Higgins tanker yesterday. Now I need to strip the bolt-on rear, age it to match and build a wooden crate. Sure, no problem.

Still slacking on this, doesn't mean I'm out though. Need to find the right rusty frame for it.

I got just far enough during BO9 to tear apart my trike. Guess I'll rebuild it for BO10. Hopefully I labeled the parts box for it. Still have 3 other bikes I'm working on so we'll see how it goes.
