Now, for resolution of my first dilemma...COLOR!! The frame has some rust pitting on the head tube where the long-gone tank once sat. So my initial thought was to just have the frame clear powdercoated, keeping the weathered rat look. But now, I'm considering some body filler and epoxy spray...

Sorry for taking so long to update, guys! Holidays got really busy and I've been struggling to decide on whether or not to speed this up by entering it in the WBO'17. So I'm biting the bullet at throwing my hat in the ring...so to speak... So, follow along on my WBO'17 build thread...

Grabbed a couple of those Ebay adapter brackets, but the loop for the frame was waaaay too big, so I'll be fabbing up proper loops or building new brackets. I like what metalchewy did on his "Sassy" MBBO#5.2 build!!!! In the meantime, I also scored calipers and levers...another surprise up my...

Can you expand on your "rat coaster arm" idea? Are you saying use an old coaster arm to make a bracket for the caliper mount? Or are you suggesting that I use coaster brakes? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks Luke! I like the idea, but need to think it through. Do you have a pic of one of these welded to a frame and/or fork? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Don't be so quick to love it just yet! I still have to figure out how to mount the calipers without making them look like add-ons! Ideas/suggestions are welcomed!!!

Finally got the eBay disk brake adapter for my flip-flop hub... ...so I could finish up the rear wheel build. Installed a used headset just to get it all "assembles" and get an idea of ride height and how the "lines" looked... ...not too shabby!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks, Joe, but it's not a rack! It's a truss bar assembly off what I think is an early Murray-built Western Flyer, either Spaceliner or Flightliner-style. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Rear wheel built...559x29.4 eyeleted alloy rim, flip-flop hub, stainless spokes...tire mounted...Sunlite/Kenda 26x2.125 tire. Fills up the frame perfectly!! Just enough room to live with comfortably!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
