It was long WB- head tube in front of the pedals. He did not build the frame, but he sure made it look cool.

    3 spd cruiser

Picked up this Roland lady's cruiser for $80 to pull the 3 spd wheelset, shifter and stem off it. I'll transfer the parts to my Hyper cruiser for lunch hour rides at work. It could end up on a build off bike.

    whant elec fat bike

Fat tire bikes are certainly very stable, so they may work well for you. I would look for one with at least a 750w motor to get those fat tires rolling.

    Friction Drive system

I like the design. Looks like a great deal of work to build it, though. What I like best about friction drive is that you can easily change the final drive ratio by switching to a drive roller of a different diameter.

    Rechrome or not ?

The rechroming will probably cost more than replacement.

    Landspeeder

You are an e-wizard. I have seen non working e-scoots for sale cheap and been tempted to get one. I understand that you upgrade the batteries, controller and hub motor. -My concern is rear brakes. After upgrading the rear hub motor wheel, do you use a bike rim brake, or rig a disk mount? You...

    New From South Dakota

Welcome. It sounds like you always adapt well to your environment, Vonpotter. I rode light mountain bikes and road bikes when I lived in AZ, as there were a lot of bike lanes on the roads and great mtb trails in the desert. After moving to Houston, I spend more time riding old muscle bikes and...

Just joined this week. I live in South Texas, am 66 and a professional Santa Claus.

Welcome. Keep me on the "Nice" list, Santa. Sears Spyders from the 1960s like yours can get a little pricey these days. I had a Spyder 500 when I was a kid. It had a straight tube frame and skinny tires. I did really like the butterfly bars. I recently made a clone of a Spyder using a Higgins...
