I don't have any experience in high winds, but for the most part, I don't notice they are on the bike when riding.

Everything is O.K. Life just got to busy, I didn't really feel like I was participating in the build-off, so I just kinda let this build die. Eventually, I would like to cut up a skateboard and take the spring hardware out of a seat for a cool solo saddle.

You're probably right! I do have a few more ideas for it, but I find myself having no free time this summer!!

Looks good. I do agree with @OneHorsePower, the shiny crank arms do stand out...but I'm not sure that is a bad thing.

I wish that we had more swap meets in this area. It is funny, if you asked 10 different rat rod bikers which chain guards are the coolest...there would probably be 10 different answers. My all time favorite, the Elgin gothic that looks like a surfboard :inlove:

I'm sitting wondering how you will ever be able to make a cool bike out of those parts?? I do think that you could keep the og paint on the fork and not distract from the rat rod theme at all. Heck, at this point, just make it rideable and you have a contender!!

Thanks, yeah these build offs are great but when you get busy working on your own bike, it's hard to just keep up on your favorite builds/builders.........then another build catches your attention and Wow....how did I miss this? This Place Is Sensory Overload During The Annual Build Offs...

I don't know ....the rear rack is cool too. I think that you need a different chain guard though............but that is only because I really want one of those Colson chain guards! :inlove:
