I started by installing the Higgins beehive springer onto the X-53 frame. Although I have 2 1/2 of these springers, this is the first time I have used one. Again, as I said, no paint work, so the scuffed scratched paint is no issue........Battle Scars!!!

So without further ado, here is a big pile of X-52.5 aka Plan B. I have already thrown most of this bike together tonight.

AND, I am using my one mulligan and starting a quick two to three day build to take to the Queen City Riot car show on June 3rd. They are now having a non-motorized class so I will take this "new" build off bike and 2 others. This will be a rat in my definition, no paint work, mismatched parts...

And here it comes, I was working on the details of the front fender tonight and I realized.....there is too much custom work to do on this build for my busy summer. I plan to finish it, but I don't want to rush, and I'm not worried about "placing" in this build off. So "She's in the Army now" is...

Thanks, I am leaning towards a blood red to maroon base. I have done plenty of metallic acrylic enamel single stage paint jobs in the 80's (wet look hardener) with good results. And earlier, we did everything with lacquer, you could do a crap paint job out in the wind and then go back and sand...

Yeah, I haven't had time to even get started on the paint work. The NSRA street rod nationals are in town next weekend so no time to get it done before then. Your statement is interesting though, I was planning to lay the larger flake first so that it would be buried deep and the smaller flake...

Thanks! Yeah, I have moved the fender there, it looks O.K. but then the indents on the fender are in no mans land. I am leaning towards trimming just a little more and then rounding it to match the fork.

I doubt I will ever let it go. I was going to build a trailer with it to pull behind my rat rod pickup at shows. Who knows when an idea will hit me, but I'll let you know if I ever need to move it along.

Man, I love the wicker wheelchair, the whiskey barrel, and of course, the fighter plane!! I have an old bumper car body hanging in the rafters out in my garage, but it is fairly heavy.

I don't know Falstaff, I love the bike, But, I just can't see the sidecar complimenting the bike in this configuration. A crazy idea, maybe build the sidecar into a shape that mimics the tank? It might just be me, I guess seeing them together would help.

Haha! hijacked............@mommymartina, please start your own thread if you want to know the value of you higgins. It might be helpful if you introduce yourself in a thread also! I would remove the set of headlights from your bike and sell them apart from the bike, I don't believe that they are...

Looks like a build off bike to me!!! Go for it!

Most everything on the front end is cut and fitted now. One final thing to decide, what to do with the fender. Here it is fitted as I would like for it to sit. As you can see, the curve of the fender closely matches the tire/wheel assembly. And I think that I will have to trim about 3-4" off...

Should be another killer cool feature when finished!
