    P40- SHE'S AWOL!!! Now Showing X-52.5 aka Plan B

Working on this bike is going a little slower than I hoped, but I can show some of the parts and plans that I have for it. I don't know what they are off of, but I got some cool od green tires from @Toeslider . I matched them with a blacked out 3 speed wheel set I had sitting around. They...

Good deal, it looks we actually planned it just for your build!

It's funny, I like the look of the bars flipped low and I like the looks of a seat set low too. But, then I start riding an realize that I need more leg extension so the seat goes up. And then I realize that I like to sit upright on my bike, so the handlebars go up too. Bars down with tank...

    P40- SHE'S AWOL!!! Now Showing X-52.5 aka Plan B

I got some welding done on the fork after work. It's about done, I have a little more work to do, and probably a light coat of putty....but I am fairly happy with the result.

    P40- SHE'S AWOL!!! Now Showing X-52.5 aka Plan B

Thanks Horsefarmer, but those are too mini. I want about 1/2 size of the caddy light. I like the ideas though......something will click, I hope.......

    P40- SHE'S AWOL!!! Now Showing X-52.5 aka Plan B

I like your input Luke! I do think I will do a second leaf and bring it out of the mount about 3" and grind it to a point, that should help relieve the stress where the main leaf is notched and look pretty cool too. I just hate the idea of drilling 4 mounting holes in 2 leaf springs!!! I might...

    P40- SHE'S AWOL!!! Now Showing X-52.5 aka Plan B

Thanks, I had thought a bit about bobbing the fender........but your idea may be better. I hate to cut up this fairly rare deep rear fender but I want the finished product to flow nice.

Great information, I appreciate it! The caddy tail light has the look that I want, I just wish there was a mini version of it available!

SaltHammer Savannah Sand Flats Silver King (1935 Monark Silver King) - Aug01 FINISHED! What A Blast!

I do think that the original SK truss rods look good, but......I actually think that a nice curved set would tie into the curves of the seat stays and round out the overall look nicely. Something like this. Don't get me wrong, I'm still madly in love with this build whatever you choose to do...

    P40- SHE'S AWOL!!! Now Showing X-52.5 aka Plan B

Progress was at a snails pace this weekend! The wife decided that we needed to paint the back decks with some 10X restore paint and it was a PAIN!!! But, this evening I figured it was time to start making this leaf spring fork a reality instead of a dream. I took a piece of 2x4 rect. steel and...

I have a lot of fun making seat posts myself. All you need is some 5/8" rod and a stash of assorted seat posts, then your imagination is the only limit!

    Sledsel got some new shoes!

Yeah Luke, I will definately do the area between the trim to match the top! The test panel deal does require a lot of setup, I'm not sure if I will do it or just run with something I THINK will look good. I believe that black will make it darker than I want and silver will be to light / bright...

Shucks, I'm blushing.....Mama always said I could break a crowbar in a sandbox, but she didn't say nothing about bending one!
