Yeah, your builds do remind me of Steampunk or Burning Man kindof primal primordial artifacts...and I mean that in a GOOD way.
I still can't quite fathom how you can cut a round disc with an angle grinder..I"ve seen Luke do that too...blows my mind.

Man, how can you score any better than that ? The bike gods are with you on that tank OJ....well, maybe not the bike gods..but def. one of those times where going out and getting tanked with Matt is a 'good thing'..
:thumbsup::happy: F.
I kinda like this one with no fenders OJ.
lean and mean...once the fenders go on, I find it kindof chubs the bike out a bit.
maybe something in between the top tubes..not a tank, but flat panel? a sign? half of a flat panel with some curves like an extended gusset...

I don't know, lookin' doubtful. I notice it usually takes me a few weeks after the B.O. starts to decide whether to enter or not. I can't complain about weather..it's always nice at my house all year round.
The biggest constraint is coming up with an idea that I feel juiced about.

another great old frame..I like the patina after all of the hand rubbing you did on it O.J....I'd sure like to run across an old frame, I've never seen any down in Floriduh'..I think all of the old bikes are in the midwest, or...Michigan for some reason.
Way to go.
I know it's longer on the older Good Vibrations vs. the Cranbrook pictured. I didn't really measure, but lined them up close as can be side to side and the GV is definitely stretched a bit more.
You want to pedal easier Phil?
I found an old sprocket in my parts and put it on the coaster brake...
yes...thanks guys for those observations. very helpful information
I've had a couple of these older 3 spds. still have a couple , one made by Vista that is quite similar.
I have tubes that size in my stock..grabbed some 26" tubes at Wmarts and got home and they were x 1 3/8
These are indeed...
Huh? BO12? Haven't heard about it

O, my bicycle gurus..anyone have the info on this Fleetwing bicycle, anyone familiar with it. Owned one? Fixed one up?
It looks like perhaps 70s era. Ad says nothing about tire size or how many speeds, but it looks like classic sturmey /similar 3 speed English Bike.
Now, I did search, I'm not...
Great Bike...and what a great story. I was going to ask.."what happened to the bike" ? when I first started reading, I could see it was an old thread.
Somehow, it is a bit sad that with all of the work and thought put into that beauty, a scrapper is going to have you pay him to take it. tsk...
I just love these old cruisers
I was lurking here the other night, and was looking at a thread, "Show us your Cranbrooks," something like that I believe, and there were some entries posted "I have a Good Vibrations, same bike basically " Maybe the new ones are, I don't know, but they are...
Here's a dream or a nightmare, depending on how you look at it...
Columbia Twosome...probably '62 - '64 . in that range
Obviously kept 'outside ' of the barn..but ya gotta love that chain-guard.. $100.00 Space Coast. Florida

Way to go Luke, Pushie Pirate, Jaypem ...Win Place Show.
