Thanks G. Carl , I was going to ask you the other day, what do you do with all of those super bikes you create? I mean, besides riding them. do you store them, sell them? You got a wild collection goin' there bro.

show us your chick bikes heres mine

Almost finished refurbishing an early 70s Vista Duchess...Lovely bicycle. OK..so, I put parts in separate labeled baggies when I'm working on several bikes., (which is all the time), but somehow lost an axle nut..and now I'm waiting on delivery the LH side rear nut...I went thru every nut in my...

No, it doesn't , but it's ok if it is... I prefer simple clean lines, rather than a lot of space age junk, but that doesn't mean I don't admire them..just a preference. Luckily, preferences are subject to change on a weekly basis...depending on what I see next. lol Yeah, we vote the...

    Desert Rat-ified Columbia

Oh man that reminds me of beach riding ...I used to go nuts, about 10 miles a day of beach riding.. By far the best beach for bikes I found was Sullivan's Island, Isle of Palms, outside of Charleston, S.C. Low tide, sand is packed, smooth and hard, Too mushy in this part of Florida to beach...

Never underestimate O.J. He didn't just age the tires, he rusted that entire background in the leadoff pic... Once again, the rustmeister showin' us all how it's done. Super Job.

Sturdy looking ride. Nice build, gotta give you some xtra credit for going with the color. I've got two cans of yellow, and haven't had the nerve to use them yet. I like it  franco

You can weld it. ends tomorrow

Here, take these coupons to your nearest Harbor Freight store, and for just over a Benjamin...you don't have to wait on a buddy, or pay out each time you just need a quick weld. and once you get it down you can chop and weld no prob., Ive built two bikes already with this exact setup, including...

thanks guys...it was touch and go for a while there...I was starting to eye everything in the house...when my gal starts hiding all of the silverware and house decorations...hey...she could see the lust for rust in my eyes...

My pleasure...and thanks to many of you guys for contributing to the restructuring of my approach to visualizing a build. Seriously...my thoughts before were always....find a cool older, or semi old bike, clean it up, maybe paint a bit, make the chrome shine...you know, make it look good, like...

A very little known early Murray tank bike, because it's really a no name Murray. I have a bunch of older Murray Bikes and Huffy Cruisers. This one, I started to tinker with over a year ago, but it never went anywhere...until this Buildoff. I had most of the parts from a rather clean...

    MONTERATT - Fini

I built a battery box that fits under the saddle held on by a belt to power the lights. It works, it's crude...I didn't get to wire in switches, it's basically just twist the wires on and it does power the lights. But..in the spirit of a bike is never really finished, I will at some point fit...

LIMITED EDITION 2017 SCHWINN LEMON PEELER

So , it's sounding like a combination of not having the original tooling, and perhaps companies not realizing at the time that there would be such a vintage / collectible phenomenon 30,40 ,50 years down the road like we see today...that makes sense, thank you

LIMITED EDITION 2017 SCHWINN LEMON PEELER

The price isn't bad, just as $119,000 isn't way out of line for a new Vintage Ford Mustang for example, because the company that builds them starts with an original 64 1/2 body and goes from there, and original bodies are surely hard to come by. HOWEVER..I've always wondered this over the...

It must be a bad hub or something...I would guess, because I've cleaned out coaster brakes on kids' bmx bikes, dept store bikes that were gritty, and even they ran so much smoother..

    MONTERATT - Fini

I don't know, the color on the top of the fork seemed like a finish coat...the purple was 'definitely' house paint..over a layer of green house paint..who knows, maybe it was purple. I've seen yellow ones..that are brilliant... I saw one on here perfect shape, yellow with all the...

    MONTERATT - Fini

Yeah, I redid the rear hub...no new parts, but cleaned out tons of gunk , added a lot of fresh grease, and put it back together. Must've gotten lucky, because it rolls smoothly and stops on a dime...not bad for an old coaster brake..did you re-grease real well, and get rid of all of the sludge...

    MONTERATT - Fini

You're right, they're well built bikes. Parts are sturdy. Actually, on this one, I'm just bringing it back to where it was. I got it off of a woman who was using it as a garden ornament. 5 bucks. it had all of the original parts, that's why I bought it...usually they strip an old bike down to...
