    Finishing touches, get a grip, or two, a little more rustification here and there.., mount the 'battery ' box which fits under the seat . and it's good 'nuff to go. Here's a couple of additional views. one cool thing that I didn't even know, is that the rear light stays on for about a minute...

    And..after all of that rusting and waiting, today, I finally put a chain on it..made up a coaster brake hanger..greased up all of the bearings and rode it around. Happy to report it's a nice smooth ride..a couple of creaks and groans here and there..but no rattling, :happy:it's pretty tight.

    Found a cool old front light, and a tail light, that I had in my vintage stockpile. Got them mounted and most of the wiring tucked into place.

    Man, that's a beauty O.J. what a strong looking ride... It doesn't really 'need' the guard..the way I'm looking at it. So I'd ride it re: guardless :thumbsup:

    yeah, I think i read where odd job used acrylic paints..like craft paint..they don't stick to the pants....which, of course..would be what we're after here...:)

    Getting there for sure. Made some brackets to hold the rear rack on, it's nice and sturdy. I think I'll add a bit to the rack bottom stays to slide it up a little more level. The seat is comfy...but I'm not sure I like it black. Wanted the top and sides more of an old faded red and white...

    Today, had do dream up a few fids here and there...the ends of the fender stays were just chopped off short...so I had to add a little steel extension..measure each side for where they connect to keep the fender centered crimped them around and welded them on...

    Got a chance today to do a little more on the Monteratt. Been busy fixin' up regular bikes for reg'lar people..:happy: I got this comfy old rubber top Mesinger type seat from an old Roadmaster which was also the donor for the front tire...added a little xtra padding....
