Had a busy weekend, but managed to get the headset, fork, stem, and seatpost clamp on.

Waited about a week to let the paint dry properly, then sanded it back down a little bit to my liking, and gave it a matte clear coat. While that dried I started to gather parts. I made sure to grab some stuff that had a similar hint of crusty to it. Dug around and came up with a black pair...

Once the gusset was removed I had some bare metal. And there were spots throughout that had been sanded to bare metal, or just sanded with a heavy grit. I was able to find spray paint in the correct pistachio, grey, brown, and satin black that covered the frame. I covered any bare spots in kind...

The seatpost was also stuck. Took care of that

Haven’t posted a build for quite some time, thought maybe I’d try to document one. I picked up this beautiful Laguna frame a little bit back that needed some attention. Most obvious is the ‘gusset’ someone added along the way. the under side of the cig box behind the BB was also rusted...

It’s definitely a lil rougher then the pic looks. Fair amount of surface rust. Nothing a vinegar bath wouldn’t solve tho. It’s pretty low miles. Original tires and grips. Even has the original Fatboy bar plus with no scratches

Oh absolutely. I prefer how it is over fresh paint. In the areas that have bare metal, I’m going to to me best to blend some paint in, and rock it as is.
