Thank you. I agree. I have a lead on a titanium Merlin that takes a 1” fork that I think I’ll hold them for. And definitely go with a fatter tire. Here are the two frames I’m between for this project. Leaning towards the 1940 straight bar.

I already had ordered some tires for the soon to be wheels. They were cheap on eBay, so I jumped on them. Only 2.0 wide, but I’m not sure if I’m going to use a middleweight frame, or a ballooner. I figure these would fit either.

Recently got my ‘66 912 back on the road.

It’s unfortunate they couldn’t make them the correct length. This release is like the last, it’s about 10-15mm shorter than the original. Like what they do with their ‘S’ (women’s) saddles.

If all goes according to plan I’ll finally be making this one. Do I need to register in advance?

Thank you. The hubs are actually pink. Chris king did pink around 2016. I’d been looking for these hubs for a few years now. Hunting for a pink Salsa lip lock in 35.0 as well. Quite tough to come by.

Wrapped the build up on this today. Stoked on it.
