Thanks man. I did consider bare. But I really did like the messed up paint it came with. My CBR will be bare metal. And yes, 2 speed bendix. I intentionally geared this rig a lil high at 63 gear inches, so the low would be more utilized.

Got the crank set up all ready- pressed in some new bb cups. (I typically don’t like to use modern production stuff, but new Tange bb’s are nice, and I had a few on the shelf) Had to swap the front axle from a quick release to a solid one. Though I had lost the axle for a bit there and was...

Since the front wheel is already built, I’m not gonna worry about shiney siding the rim at this point. Got the wheels all dialed. If all goes well, I’ll have a rider tomorrow.

Oh I didn’t know they repoped them. Not back up plan, but only plan- Have had it floating around for quite awhile. Stoked to finally use it!

The bolt on Canti mounts are sweet. About a decade plus tho outside of my aim. Laguna did make a bolt on brake bridge, but I’m not holding my breath. I’ve got a solution, just need to dig it out.

Thanks. That steel plate I put on top had a hole cut in it to not directly press on the race area. Worked pretty good!

So, Monday, time to straighten the fork. Fortunately for me, I have access to a hydraulic press. the first time I put the fork in the press, I neglected to put a bolt or hub between the dropouts. Which of course, caused the fork legs to kick out a bit. Found a quick solution to that- After...

They are Schwinn approved Weinmann, and yea, they are/were blue. Kinda faded.
