getting a little more work done. I have the frame and fenders blued. I think it looks better than paint in this case.

Beer Boy Delivery... Final product on Finished thread! ...while I've been waiting....this:

I used a 3/4" expanding freeze plug. I only had to have off a little for it to fit. Either way looks like a good solution. Nice job on bicycle!

After stripping the old paint off the fenders I decided to blue them like I'm doing with the frame. I think they turned out pretty cool.

Anyone have ideas, suggestions or foolproof plans to attach a fender to these forks? There isn't a way to fasten it.

Here are some fenders I picked up on eBay. They need to be cleaned a little. I think they'll make a cool addition to the bike.

Nice job on the handlebars. I may have to see what I can do about making some.

The serial number is K100357. My research shows it is a 1946, but the headbadge hole pattern indicate that it is older. Possibly from two different bicycles.

After a lot of paint stripper and elbow grease I've managed to remove all paint from the frame. Instead of painting I'm going to try gun bluing. I've seen others online and really like the looks of it. I'm still searching for a set of handlebars that came with this type frame. If anyone has any...

Yes, the crack has to be filled. It would bug me too bad if I didn't. No luck on the handle bars or the chain guard.

Progress is slow so far. I had to repair the frame where apparently something was rubbing against it. My amateur brazing skills worked out for the most part. There are a couple of wormholes and a small portion of the crack still visible. The forks were bent and needed straightening. fortunately...

    Allow myself to introduce...........myself.

I've been signed up for a while now but recently decided to compete in the build off. A friend gave me a Roadmaster frame last year and was going to make a motorized bike and post it here (still am when I can), but haven't had the time. Too many irons in the fire right now. I basically like...

I'm new to Rat Rod Bikes and old bicycles and was encouraged by a guy I work with to enter the build off. He picked up this frame for me at a swap meet in Tennessee. My first effort will be a Westfield Columbia Compax folding bicycle. I'm in the process of stripping the paint and repairing a few...
