GYSOT! - Get You Some of That! - She's a Rider - heading to the Finished Bikes forum soon.

Work is killing me, but I did make a little progress on my patina. I decided that this bike was actually made my D. M. Dearing Motor Bicycles out of Jackson, MI. I'm happy with the font, but I think I'll use more of a vanilla paint around the letters when I do this for real. This weekend...

Playing with patina a bit. I picked up a piece of steel as a stand-in for the frame, and started painting one side with red oxide primer. Then I sprayed half of that side in black primer, then shot the whole thing with Willow Green. Then I started wet sanding with some 600 grit sandpaper...

    GENEVA

I was thinking of doing a leaf spring like that on my triple trees. Can't wait to see how this turns out!

Work has been crazy, but I finally got some time to finish stripping the frame today. That monster hub is not going to fit in the drop-outs, so I used my patent-pending frame spreader on the back end to get the hub to fit. Once that was done, the monster hub slid right in to place. I...

    Night Owl

Ooooh... yeah... This should be a good one. Congrats on the MBA. Getting mine was the best thing I ever did - next to marrying my amazing wife!

One more piece of inspiration. As we all know, if you are building something fast and loud, then it probably has to be green, right? So how about a nice Jaguar Meadow Green from a 1969 E-Type? Order placed with 66autocolor.com, which means it's time to get prepping the frame and pulling...

I'm really looking forward to getting this build off the ground. GYSOT starts with a 1952 Felt Motorbike. This was a great ride in it's day, but this one has fallen on hard times. In about 1970, it blew a head gasket, and sat in a field for the next 45 years. During that time the rain, wind...

I can't believe this is my fourth BBO - man, time flies! I have been thinking about building a bike like this for a while now, and I figured BB10 is as good a time as any. I'm starting with a 2008 Felt Hurley, and will be transforming this in to something different. Something pretty fast, and...

Let's get to this! Anyone else using a Felt this year?

Anyone else planning for BOTEN (RRBBO#10) yet?

The FedEx guy made a delivery on Friday. Still noodling on exactly what I'm going to do with this special delivery, but there is a good chance it will start with paint stripper...

    Bones Bomber

This is a great riding bike. With the MTB-ish seat height and front end, I can ride this thing all day, no problem. I just need to make sure I have a big lock if I park anywhere.

I just used some washers as spacers to get it to fit properly, and I believe you can get the hub in other sizes as well.

You know, I though about that, but it didn't look right when I mocked it up. It looked better with the colons on top.
