FELTS NEW 2015 CRUISER BIKE LINE UP

I wish I could get excited by the look of the 29er frame, but I'm just not feeling it...

    Fantastic build! Well done!

    Skirt Chaser

Thanks guys. The paint is Sky Blue and Stone White - both from 66autocolor.com, and cleared with the SprayMax 2K high gloss. Really happy with how the colors turned out.

I wish my old Jr. Stingray looked this cool!

    Skirt Chaser

Shirt Chaser was my first attempt at a "restoration". No, this is not a concourse restoration, the entire intent was to give this old bike new life so it could be ridden and enjoyed once more. I finished her up last Saturday, just in time for the Shiny Side Up show in San Jose. She is a...

    Skirt Chaser

Thanks for the compliments, guys! Well, today was a busy day. I did manage to take a few pics, but I was pretty much balls to the wall all day. First things first. I cleared the frame, forks and fenders yesterday, with the SprayMax 2K clear, and let it cure overnight in the garage. All I...

    Skirt Chaser

Man, this is coming down to the wire for me... My goal is to have her ready for Shiny Side Up!, but we'll see... I was going to use a different approach for painting her, basically painting her all blue, then masking and painting in the white. However... I could not get the mask the way I...

    Skirt Chaser

Man, this one is going to come down to the wire. Unfortunately, I forgot to snap pictures during the cleaning of the parts... But I spent so much time with the wire wheel and my fenders, chain guards, etc... Let's just say that I'm happy that time has past, and I'm kinda glad there are no...

    Nice looking ride, Jake!

    ENIGMA

I'm a fan. I like the optional parts, and having three bikes in one. I think I would ride it day to day in the simple looking configuration, and maybe take it to Shiny Side Up as the stretched "unchopped" chopper... I really dig the concept here.

    Skirt Chaser

I'll be at Shiny Side Up, with Skirt Chaser (assuming I get the paint done), Pinkie and Bar Fly - and maybe one or two others. Great show, this will be my 3rd year there.

Gichigami Growler Grabber - Finished!!! Pic on page 8

BTW, on the clear coat. Look at the Spray Max 2K aerosol. You can get it from Eastwood or http://www.66autocolor.com/ I used the Rustoleum as part of a 2 part paint job, and it was OK, but if you want something that will hold up better than most, the 2K finish is probably the way to go...

Can't wait to see the tap system. I have a couple of the Hydro Flask growlers, would be very interested in a tap system for that...

Gichigami Growler Grabber - Finished!!! Pic on page 8

Looking great! How is the clear coat holding up? I haven't played with the BB conversion yet, but instead have been using BMX cranks that either came with the cups or used aluminum inserts that were compatible. Grinding that steel looks like a pain, but I'm sure it will be worth it. BTW...

    Skirt Chaser

Aaaaand, I'm back. Work has been crazy - new job, lots of travel, blah, blah, blah... That said, I have made progress on her. This bike had clearly been outside for a while - at least two years on my side yard, and, well, the stem was rusted in tight. It took a lot of penetrating oil, and a...

    Skirt Chaser

After going back and forth on the bike I wanted to enter, I have finally settled on her - a 1950's Mercury Airflight. It's my first girls bike, and the first one that I will be doing a straight restoration. I'll be selling this one after it's built, and the proceeds will be going to a local...

This is me throwing my hat in the ring!

"Throwing your hat in the ring" means you are signing up for a fight, a challenge, or a campaign. Throwing in the towel, well. that's the opposite. Neither have much to do with boxing anymore...
