This is exactly the advice I was looking for. Thanks! I'm going to be doing a factory paint job, but on a DX. The idea is to have gloss for the wings and headtube, matte everywhere else.

That is a fantastic build. Love the pics - best effort at the klunker slide pic yet. You may have locked that one up!

The pictures do not do this bike justice. It is simply amazing. The design, the rack, the bottom bracket... man... And the paint is astounding. I looked at it for a good 5 minutes before noticing the striping - but once you pick up on it, it changes the look of the paint. Well done!

Great color, and an excellent tribute. Love the build, nice and simple.

Re: Bar Fly - (She's a roller!) Well, she's a roller. Found some time today to mount the fender and chain guard, and get the rest of the drivetrain installed, and took her for a spin. She rides low. Really low. No need for a kickstand, she rests happily on a pedal. Hopefully I'll find time...
