    (MBBO#5 Class 2)Mean Mr Mustard...'70 Fastback....1x9 Conversion

Nice looking Fastback, Chad. I think I've owned more yellow ones than all the other available colors.

    (MBBO#5 class 1 ) "Funky Green Flower".

Cool build. The color make me think sour apple for some reason. I like sour apples.

(MBBO#5 Class 1) Bike of opportunity Build! 68 Torino 300

My favorites on this bike are the seat/sissy bar and that cool slick tire.

    (MBBO#5 Class 1) - Schwinn Sting-Ray Fastback

I agree with the rest on how great this bike looks. Fastbacks always look great. Very deserving 1st place you received!:praise:

    (MBBO#5 Class 1) 68 Vista Torino 500

Super job! I had a Vista back in the day. The Schwinn bicycle dealer sold them in my home town. I like the gold.

(MBBO#05 Class II) My Generation (DONE, w/ wheelie pics)

It's finished. There is a couple more things I'll end up changing and adding later but with the dead line looming, I have done all I can. It was overcast most of the day and was not able to get the bright sunny pictures I want. Tomorrow I will take final pictures for the finished thread. I...

WBO 2017 Jan 1st to April 1st: ANYTHING GOES INCLUDING BUILDS ALREADY STARTED!---GO!---

That's cool! Maybe that would give me a chance to finish up "Blue Max".

(MBBO#05 Class II) My Generation (DONE, w/ wheelie pics)

Almost ready to ride. I only have the seat post derailleur to figure out now. Of course road test and fine tuning to do on shifting and brakes.

(MBBO#05 Class II) My Generation (DONE, w/ wheelie pics)

I've been away since last Thursday and it was cool to see my pedals and outer cable had arrived upon my return. I got them routed and mounted. They all still need to be adjusted and inner cables cut to length.

Yes, no problem there. I just need to move the kickstand back a hair to allow the cable to pass.

Thanks for the conformation, Luke. I had to study it for a few minutes to come to that conclusion. I never messed with the 10 speed bikes back in the day. Always learning something on this forum.

    (MBBO#05 Class-2) '68 Junior 7...Looks Like it's Done.

Looks like a super fast bike. I'll bet it'll haul the mail!:dance2:

(MBBO#05 Class II) My Generation (DONE, w/ wheelie pics)

Another oversight is thinking I had enough outer cable on hand for 3 brakes and 2 shifters. I don't deal with bikes with front derailleurs so it looks to me like the cable gets routed under and around the Bottom Bracket to the front derailleur. *NOTE* Even after notching the brake caliper...

Assembly time. Taking my time since I have a lot of it. I don't think I've done one of these this quick! I added some details to the Selector Ring and mounted the wheels.

Simple cleanup and repaint of the kickstand. I also remembered that I still had to service the front hub and change out the old inner tubes on both wheels. Then I laid out everything to start reassembly and realized I forgot to order pedals. :headbang:

Perhaps a pair of trunk lid tension rods.:39:

You may be able to add a washer or two to push the chain ring away from the frame. Note that this will also move the crank arm on the left side closer to the frame so check for clearance. You may need a wider crank. Just a suggestion.

    (MBBO#05 CLASS 2) - Sassy - Finished - Round 2.5, riding strong!

That's a big tire muscle bike for sure!

(MBBO#05 Class II) My Generation (DONE, w/ wheelie pics)

I finally decided on the name, My Generation. I also couldn't resist throwing on some parts. I'm building this off the stand because I don't want to mess up the paint. I also decided to go with the purple seat. It is a close match to the color on the bike.
