Ok so keep this thread going, up to date... I was finally putting this together, after waiting on shipping for the seat tube reamer (which was a helluva procedure by the way, even with cutting oil and doing tiny bit at a time I had to make several passes and was straight tiring me out) anyway...

All snugged down tight. I’m almost surprised how good it looks.

Bead blaster and wire wheel. Nothing fancy. Then just some wheel polish to help preserve them. Maybe a coat of wax as it all goes together.

I finished all the welding today. The only way- all the way. Great care was taken to shape the brake stay just right.
