I think you'll find, if it's a running, fully operational bike, you'll get the most as it is. The base being an antique monarch may increase the value a little, but people pay 450, 600... and up for crappy chinese two stroke powered walmart bikes. I bet it will hold a decent value as is. Been picking at it at work. Needs a bit yet. Waiting for a bb conversion kit to fall in my lap, then it will get a square taper crank & new pedals. Not too anxious to get any more gears till I get more brakes anyways. Any suggestions on this? I need a longer seat post, but other than that...
