    Tricky Trike

HELP!!!!!!! I measured the shaft from the flange to the end of the threads and it comes out to be about 83mm. I didnt measure the hub but it's obviously a few mm short. I searched around today and came across husky bicycles and their hubs say 80mm which seems to be too wide for this shaft too...

    Tricky Trike

Nut on end of axle. I'll post some pics this afternoon. From some quick measurements. My wheel hub is about 3-1/2", and the shaft that sticks out past the flange measures 3-1/2 also.

Three holes in hub that slides over nipples of the axle flange then nut screws on the axle. Simple basic design just different lengths.

Got my axle in yesterday while at work. Got home this morning and was checking it out. My hubs on my wheels are too wide. The shaft on the flange side doesn't extend out of the hub. I need a "BANG HEAD HERE" sign. I guess I am gonna get new hubs and lace some new rims. Didn't want to spend so...

    ENIGMA

Go to plumbing supply house and ask for test caps. They make some that glue to the inside and end of the pipe that doesn't actually go over the outside. Then you could finish it of with bondo glass and keep a smooth look without a lot of sanding.

10-4. I'd prefer black anyway. Nothing much to update with me. I've been painting and waiting on parts. Hopefully I'll have axle, wheels, tires and crank on and some pics over the weekend. Well maybe one more pic with the broomstick axle. LOL

How tall are the apes and if you don't use them would you be willing to sell? I may be interested. I was thinking about making my own and going with something ridiculous but if the price is right.

My donors As of now I'm trying to keep the cost down as much as possible and the drive train (axle, adapter, freewheel, hub bearings) are gonna hit me pretty good so I'll be limited on the way I would like actually build it.

Our own trike thread sounds good to me. A little early so I'm on my phone and haven't figured out how to post photos so I'll get some coming soon. I am fixing to order the same adapters today. Talk to y'all soon.

(Slammed Trike) doing the finishing touches...

Have your looked at Staton Inc website. I'm going to get my freewheel hub adapter from there and gonna make and weld a rotor adapter to it for my brake. They may have something you can use.

You could drill one hole through the adapter and shaft and use a bolt.

(Slammed Trike) doing the finishing touches...

I haven't checked up on you in a while. Moving along I see. I love the seat. Sorry I can't help much on the axle. What about that adapter you posted to me and go with disk brakes. I had to cut my old axle out and the only one I could find that was 15mm so now I'm dealing with that size and it's...

    Tricky Trike

Thanks. I needed something and that was the best I could find at the moment. I figured y'all would like it and no that won't hold up, my legs are to strong and will definetly produce way too much torque.

    Tricky Trike

Maybe, the other side needs to have male threads to except a freewheel sprocket. Where did you find this one?

    Tricky Trike

No I don't have one. I agree that I don't think they make them anymore. I couldn't find a way of ordering or a price. I was hoping someone could give me some info but oh well. I see other adapters that look the same minus the rotor mount. Don't see why I can't weld a plate to the adapter. Looks...

    Clear coat over raw metal

I don't want a gloss finish myself. Will just boiled linseed leave a glossy finish if it's applied by itself?
