I've had a look at the saddle again today. I've got hold of some proper upholstery glue, so I'm using that instead of stitching the leather pad the the plastic liner. Bulldog clips are now holding it in place till tomorrow. Then I'll know for sure if it's stuck. The signs are hopeful though.

It's a SS100 replica built on a 1950's jaguar chassis with an E type 3.8litre engine. I'm making the aluminium body for it.

The front lamp came with a hideous mounting bracket. Maybe I can use it? Erm, no. I think I will make my own! It will do for now though.

You may notice a battery sat in the pannier.... No I'm not going electric, that was so last year! I actually have some lights left over from previous projects, so I thought I'd use them on this. They are 12volt led, hence the lead acid battery. It's actually out of a fire alarm, don't worry...

The leftover leather isn't big enough to recover the whole seat. So I'm going to cut it down a little. Sporty like!

I have some leather left, so I'm thinking about the saddle. Now what to do with it? The Mrs has a pretty good sewing machine, I wonder..... Maybe I'll wait until she's out before I have a go! Otherwise she'll be standing over my shoulder tutting and getting impatient with me, like when I...

Finally had time to finish the first side of the handlebars. To finish off the leather wrap I used a piece of an old inner tube. I think that worked really well, even if I say so myself!

Oh these handlebars are bringing me to tears! I'm never, ever, ever doing a foam covered, diameter changing, bendy handlebar again! Oh except the other side! Here's the pattern I'm getting, sort of a bit "fishbone" The black thread is helping disguise any "discrepancies" lol
