Well I admit that I messed up the other side! I cut the panel too short. I don't really know how it happened, but it did. So it does give me the opportunity to show why I like metal........ You can just weld another bit back on! First the new bit is tacked on. I'm using a small dab of filler...

Whats that coming over the hill? Oh no, its the deadline!!! PANIC!!!!

    LITTLE TOAD! RRBBO#14 Class 2. I'm out. :(

Onwards and upwards! Good luck with the move. Sounds like you have a plan, a positive direction, which is a great thing.

Well, it's going to have to be on the front wheel. I do have an idea how to make it look decent though.... :)

Interesting OddJob. I haven't decided which way I'm going yet. The bike is at work, so the ideas I have at home for it often turn out impossible once I look at the bike "in the flesh". Instead an alternative solution will present itself. Monday will be "design a stand day"

Yeah, I'm liking the front wheel idea. With the motor, there's about half the total bikes weight in that wheel.

Or a double sided drop down stand pivoting around the front hub....

Or maybe a rod that swings up inside the (yet to be revealed) rear side pod

Hmmm that is a very good point. When the rear section is fitted I'll loose the kick stand. I need some sort of stand for it. It will need to be within the bike, I don't want to have to carry a long pole around. So..... I call on the Ratrodbikes hive brain to throw some ideas at me! Ive got...

The panels will be held together with small stainless steel dome head bolts. As you say, access is needed to the innards.

That as far as I'm going on this side for now. Now to do it all again on the "port side"

    The Streamliner

That's what I'm thinking. I may copy its shape into the front wheel cover

Brackets welded to the frame. Mostly it will be self supported though. I didn't want loads of bolts showing. Obviously there will have to be some. My other thought was that I could make the screws a feature, part of the design. Time will tell. This is an organic design (which is a nice way of...

    QUESTION FOR FORUM MEMBERS

Just say the word and I'm happy to chuck over a few lovely English notes...... While they're still worth anything!

Wow praise indeed, thanks! This morning I made the second half of the pedal recess. I'm making it so that it slots behind the front half, hence the little joggle and tabs on the edge And in place Time is really my issue. I honestly don't know if I can finish in time. One thing I do...

    The Streamliner

I think I've decided on the design for the rear of the bike. I liked the idea of continuing the three swages rearward, but the chain and dropouts prevent it. They stick out too far for it to work. So I'm back to having the circles being the pedals. The top of the rear is a continuation of the...

Depends how much throttle you have on. It also depends on whether you can hear it above your chuckles! Lol

Ooo I like that idea! It's turning more "Art Deco" than Flash Gordon, but that's not a bad thing!
