I bought a 1971 Datsun 510 that was spraybombed camoflage with rattlecans. The thing that did the trick was Acetone and scotchbrite pads. It took off the spraypaint and did not hurt the original paint underneath. Not that the original paint was pretty, but we call that patina! Also tried...

Well after seeing KINGFISH's GT Show score, I got obsessed and couldn't help but start hunting for some midschool flatland goodness. And wouldn't you know, this popped up on my local CL. Got it for a sweet price considering condition and what it came with! It isn't a GT Show, but pretty groovy...

Man what a fantastic find! I always wanted to try flatland. Thought it'd be a low impact way to get exercise. Less dangerous than street ramps or pool. Bet that thing feels tiny! Did you try to ride it?

Yup! They are stoked on them all the way up the chain and say they are going to use them, but on what I am not sure and we haven't worked out the compensation yet. Hmmmm I'd like a custom Standard 22" wheeled bike! They've made a couple for folks, so they can do it.
