    Fisch's 20inches of Awesome! 7/9 I'm a NY Times best seller!

Re: Fisch's 20-inches of Awesome! Mocking up Truss mount Pg3 Thanks Schwinnray66 and BMXerPete! Baby steps! And I think I am going to use the NOS Wald fork. I wrote Wald and sent them pictures and they were happy to ID it as: So it seems like a standard heavy duty replacement fork from 1951...

    Fisch's 20inches of Awesome! 7/9 I'm a NY Times best seller!

Re: Fisch's (unnamed) 20-inches of Awesome! No. 5 is alive indeed! That is the same thing I thought! (For those born in the 90's and up watch the movie 'short circuit'.) Time to start thinking about the upper bracket mount for the springer! Thank goodness for cardboard and hot glue, cause...

Pretty sweet parts! Mystery fork IDENTIFIED!

I wouldn't be drilling for a brake, I'd be drilling a pivot hole on each side above the dropouts for a custom springer bracket so that the swivel bolt can't slide out of the slotted drop out (which I will bypass all together.). And I'd need to widen the fork to fit a disc brake rotor (if I use...

Pretty sweet parts! Mystery fork IDENTIFIED!

Re: Pretty sweet parts! Mystery fork? Some NOS. Wald was able to identify that fork for me, what a cool company! So the question I have to ask myself is if I want to use it for my build off, which would require drilling and bending it... I mean if it is just a replacement fork from 1951+, I...

Pretty sweet parts! Mystery fork IDENTIFIED!

Re: Pretty sweet parts! Mystery fork? Some NOS. !!! I had no idea. Would you believe I picked up both twin lights, the banana seat and two NOS generators for $40 total! And people say you can't score at Brimfield!

Pretty sweet parts! Mystery fork IDENTIFIED!

Re: Pretty sweet parts! Mystery fork? Some NOS. So I contacted Wald about this fork and they wrote back almost instantly asking for pictures. Hopefully I can get an answer straight from the horses mouth!

How do you guys tell the difference between a regular goose and a 'team' goose? Good bit of knowledge to know!

Pretty sweet parts! Mystery fork IDENTIFIED!

Re: Pretty sweet parts! Mystery fork? Some NOS. I wondered if that was possible, it sure is heavy. And a really long head tube. But it is for a 26" wheel and most cycletrucks seem to run a 20 in the front. Possibly a heavy upgrade for a whizzer or motored bike? Some were truss I guess (rather...

    Hawthorne Muscle

They look limp on mine for sure. I thought it was a weird design choice, but I have seen a few more of these frames, and none of the cantilevers are as limp am mine, so it must be a manufacturer defect. The others I have seen come with this same tall sissy bar, so I am guessing it was a stock...

    Hawthorne Muscle

It is almost my favorite bike, bought just the way you see it cept for the Scotty plate. Had the saddle basket and chain and everything. Has so much damn mojo. I've put some miles on it and I am 6-foot. The frames are pretty unique. Just the integrated seat clamp is pretty rad. Not to mention...

    Fisch's 20inches of Awesome! 7/9 I'm a NY Times best seller!

Re: Fisch's (unnamed) 20-inches of Awesome! Messin with the fork a bit. I found a new fork that might rock for this bike, but I hesitate to use it in case it is something rare? It is a NOS WALD fork, stamped B-26 inside, and pat. 2561710. Headtube is nearly 8"! There isn't anything too unusual...

Pretty sweet parts! Mystery fork IDENTIFIED!

Re: Pretty sweet parts! Mystery fork? Some NOS. There were some amazing bikes there this year. More than I have seen ever I think. I took a pic of almost everyone I saw. They even had a Mattel VROOM (canti version) I might be there too. (My third time this week!) If you see a guy with a...

    68 sears screamer coaster

Fully restored with the butterfly bars they can get up to $800 (Ebay) I think. I have the 3-speed. In the condition of the pic you posted I wouldn't think much. If you have one of the mag wheel ones, the price goes up!!!! Mine as of 5 min ago!

    68 sears screamer coaster

I think the coasters are often harder to find than the 5 speeds. Heck I see more 5-speeds than the 3-speeds actually!
