2.4" Maxxis Holy Rollers (24") for $15.99 shipped

Went ahead and ordered a pair - I like having all kinds of different tires in stock whether I have plans for them yet or not. I've also got a 24" CWC Frame and a set of 24" Schwinn New Departure S-2 Wheels looking for something to do - could be a match. Thanks for the heads up subadrew! Robert

How long can you get away with having a bike in the house?

The period of time a bike is IN our house is directly proportional to the amount of time the little woman is NOT IN the house - period! Robert

    Fat tires

Hi! I glanced through all the posts on this thread and I noticed there wasn't any mention about the tire pressure of the tires you are talking about. My fighting weight is very near 300 pounds so tire inflation is extremely important to me. I'm not that familiar with most of the tires suggested...

    Old Western Flyer

I've read of guys building complete steel frames and using some super duper epoxy on all the joints and never have any let go. Or see if Gorilla Glue lives up to it's hype! Robert

Do you bid on stuff on eBay that you don't need or can't buy

I just read all the posts on this thread and I have been chuckling the whole time. A lot of it I have done myself and some of it I still do. I'm retired now so I make it a point of being online when an auction I'm interested in is about to finish. I'm somewhat of an addict in that I have bought...

    Chain brake tool (park tool)

The Park CT-5 works on skip tooth as well - bend the chain flat with just the pin you want pushed in or out inserted into the chain break tool. Most of the other Park Chain Breaks will list what type of chain they were designed for. Robert

    Always using Pay Pal

I used to offer Paypal both ways on my parts sales but only one buyer ever used the insured method. I'll still provide it if they want it but most buyers want the cheapest TOTAL price including shipping and payment costs. Unless it's something pricey I gamble on it too when buying small parts...

What is the best new bike you've ever bought New?

Glad to see someone else listed a Raleigh! I had a couple 50s era Hercules 3 speeds I picked up used when I was a kid that I acquired myself and went absolutely nuts over but my heart still belongs to my 1970 Raleigh Super Course I bought new - definitely the finest bike I ever owned! Robert

    Added 3

The reason you haven't been buying bikes is because you aren't selling enough - I saw at least one Cleveland Welding in there - put them back in circulation and you'll be able to buy MORE Bikes! Robert

    Super Bowl Sunday bike score

The Hiawatha is a 1948 or later Cleveland Welding - has the feather style chain guard and the chain ring seen on Western Flyer Supers. Robert

Hi! I think you've got plenty of red on the frame and fenders - leave the fork blue! Looking great! Robert

    "Monark" Stamped Brake Arm

I don't know if these are uncommon , I just know I never noticed one before - fits New Departure Hubs! Robert http://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-NOS-Monark ... 4d09173e5a

    Question: Which would you buy?

Too bad about the Dyno Roadster. Ever since I acquired one bicycling is a lot easier. I'm sure it's just a matter of personal choice but the feet forward concept really suits me. I'm now using an entirely different set of muscles which never seem to fatigue. BTW - I have a 90s Roadster Chain...

    Electra Nexus 7i wheels sets

The only time I had a trouble getting a rear wheel into a frame I tried & tried to spread it with my thumbs and work the wheel in with my other fingers at the same time - couldn't do it. I ended up tying one side of the frame stays close to a tree and while pushing with my leg on the tree and...

    Old Glory

These are great chain guards and I pick one up every chance I get. AMF purchased CWC in 1951 and then absorbed Shelby in 1953-54. After that point it was very common to see these Shelby Chain Guards on any AMF bike including Roadmasters for years along with the Shelby Slotted Chain Ring. I had...
