yes...also a very possible option, which is what I usually do...but this guard is really cool lookin...very nice ride btw... im thinkin im going to end up doing it teal and then hand pinstriping it. That is what I do for a living after all...

The components will be black and gold...gold pedals, bar clamp, black bars....maybe black hoops w gold hubs

The chain guard is actually an issue...powder vs paint, one color vs two or just no guard at all...gonna run 3 pc black cranks on it...

So I'm thinking a dark metallic teal on the frame and where the chrome used to be on the springer, and black for the main legs of the springer....any thoughts or suggestions other possible color combos??

Picked these up today. A '48 CWC and a Schwinn supreme. $60 for both. Supreme has 3 piece cranks and sealed BB, and the CWC Is just straight up cool. I've been wanting to build a supreme for a while. I love the shape of the frame and I think it'll make a great clunker. The forks on The CWC were...

So at first I thought it was a CWC, but I noticed the front of the straight bar dips slightly. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

So does anybody know where I can get some dropout protectors that will fit a vintage Schwinn frame? Specifically a 1950 typhoon or any of the other cantilever type frames... I see a bunch for BMX stuff but nothing specific for the old Schwinn stuff...

thanks...speaking of scrubbing, what do you recommend to scrub the frame with? I love the patina, but I'd like to remove the grime and bring some life back to the paint. ive been in the custom paint business for decades, but this is quite different. I dont want to polish it. Any suggestions?

in storage for years...I got the black, wald 5" rise bars, red mkt pedals, leather spring saddle, leather grips and new tires on the way. Im regreasing it, putting a new springer bump stop in, and thats it. Rims are beautifully rusty but perfectly straight. I'll be sure to post pics with the new...
