Double Barrel: Does it look like a Klunker yet..?

Everything tacked except the dropouts and handlebar cross bar. Need to do some more work in those areas.

Double Barrel: Does it look like a Klunker yet..?

It's taking shape. I'm really liking the double tube design. Did some decent welding.

Double Barrel: Does it look like a Klunker yet..?

Well, got the fork done this AM. Guess I'm headed to New Hampshire for a few days here and probably won't get to work on this again until Saturday. I'm not sure if it's the color of the fork or the shape of those dropouts, but this fork makes me think of a lobster! I'm happy with it...

    77 Schwinn Heavy Duty

Choice metal work dood. I like how you utilized the original lines, especially the flow of the downtube. The lines of a Schwinn are nice already, you just made them better in this case. I'm also a big fan of the gussets you used with the bb. They kinda look like wings.

    The Mean Machine

I just looked at this again, and it might be blasphemy, but a square tube brake bridge would be a really nice mod.

Cool. More motivation to get this thing finished. Found some thin seat stay tubing and decided I would also make a set of truss rods.

I like it!! Except this thing would laugh at me if I tried to pop a wheelie. It's going to be a bit heavy... Thanks Walker!! Those awesome brake levers you gave me found themselves a new home. Same with the bear claw pedals, just didn't put them in the photos.

Double Barrel: Does it look like a Klunker yet..?

My spring break is here which means I'm busting out the welder and making use of a bunch o' junk. The only sutff I plan on buying are tires, tubes and a seat. And the seat is a maybe. I might have something that will work. I'm going to leave all the different colored paint when I finish, just...

    Subtle Schwinn - COMPLETED!

Re: Subtle Schwinn Beautiful!! I think you should run those Raleigh bars though. They would be a really cool touch. I dig the pink Schwinn canti in the background of the first pics.

    1980 S&S BMX Cruiser-Better pics

That's sick. You got so lucky. As far as the bb / downtube issue goes... I have no idea how that could have happened! Did he give you any explanation? It is fixable though, if you wanted to mess with it. I had an S&s frame with a split in the bb that I was able to repair really well.

friday score ...last one for today

That Hawthorne is beautiful. The hole in the stay is 100% fixable as well. I guess '55 on the year but that's just based on the styling. Just noticed, that isn't the original guard unfortunately. Looks like a Murray guard.
