How do I fix this?? (Console shifter)

I'm just guessing but I think it might be polystyrene like plastic model kits.

How do I fix this?? (Console shifter)

I would try J-B Plastic Weld. They make different kinds for different plastics so make sure you get the right one.

    Transformer 20" all-pro

That's an AMF bike, badged as an All-Pro because it was sold at Kmart stores. My cousin had the AMF version when we were kids. It looked just like yours except the paint was a yellow-orange fade.

    1960's Huffy Eldorado

The rear wheel is jammed into place. There is no room for a fender. The tire rubs against the fender mount. There is only about a 1/4 inch clearance between the front tire and the fork, again not enough room for a fender. The front fork measures 14 inches from the crown to the bottom of the...

    1960's Huffy Eldorado

There is almost no room between the rear tire and the fender mount. When I removed the rear rack I could see where the tire rubbed the paint off of the bottom of the rack. I don't know what the rims are off of but they aren't Huffy drop center rims. The tires are 26 x 1.75 Kelly Springfield on...

    1960's Huffy Eldorado

Thanks Crash but if I keep it I'm not looking to restore it. I bought it because the frame is similar to a Huffy Rail Super Stock. So I was thinking that I might build a 24x20 Rail out of it.

    1960's Huffy Eldorado

Yours is a 26" frame. If you look at my pictures you'll notice how there is no room for fenders and the rear rack actually sits on the tire. My frame is smaller and was made for 24" rims

    1960's Huffy Eldorado

My first bike find of the year. The local flea market opened up for the season last weekend and I found this in the last row. It looks like a 1960's Huffy Eldorado with some missing and some incorrect parts. A previous owner somehow managed to fit 26 inch rims onto a 24 inch frame. It's tight...

    Huffy Rawhide

I once had both the black and the silver Free Spirit bikes. I think I still have some parts for them too. They are cool bikes but they are heavy.

    Huffy Rawhide

That version of Huffy's Rawhide came out in 1982. There were earlier versions that had a cantilever frame. Looking at your serial number I would guess it to be a 1983 model. Here's a catalog picture from 1982:

    My Huffy Rail Project

This is going to be my spring bike project. It's a 1968 Rail that I picked up at a local bike swap meet last year. I want to build something to ride on the local bike trail which is an old railroad track that was converted to a walking/biking trail. I've ridden the trail a few times on my 1968...

huffy cruiser converted to 5 speed klunker(ish)

An adult size Thunder Road bike. Cool idea. I have some Thunder Road parts. If your looking for any specific parts let me know, I might have them.

    red wolf felt

I don't think there's anything fishy about the auction. The description states: ' The bike that you will receive is in the box never removed, opened to see number and get the chain guard signed.' It seems to me that the seller has two bikes, numbers 39 and 55. I'm guessing he opened up #39 for...

Evel Knievel 1970's MX Tribute Bike Finished

Well I finally finished this one! After I missed the deadline I put it on the backburner for a while but it's all done now.

    Early 80's BMX ID needed

It's a Huffy Thunder Trail. They made several versions so I'm not sure which one you have. There's one on ebay right now. You can see that it's the same frame...

    Huffy Thunder Road #56

That looks like a 1976 which would be the first year for that model. In 1977 Huffy used the full length chainguard and by 1978 or 1979 they added the orange border stripes on the number plates. 1976: 1977: 1979:

Evel Knievel 1970's MX Tribute Bike Finished

Even though the build off is over, I'm still going to finish this bike. Hopefully within the next week or two. Right now the bike is all painted and assembled and ready for some cool Evel Knievel accessories.

Evel Knievel 1970's MX Tribute Bike Finished

I'm still working on this bike. I should have it done on time. I decided to use the sprocket and chainguard that came with the frame. The tank and fender are painted, cleared and buffed. I also stripped and painted the sprocket. I also painted all of the bike parts white. I still need to...

Evel Knievel 1970's MX Tribute Bike Finished

I got some more work done today. I primered my plastic parts so now everything is ready for paint which I hope to do this weekend. After I primed these parts I realized that I forgot to strip and prime the black handlebars. It was getting late and I didn't feel like messing with the bars so I...

    Schwinn Stingray Lowrider Frame

I picked this frame up yesterday at a car show flea market. It's a coaster brake Stingray frame that someone modified into a lowrider. I'm not into lowrider bikes but I thought this was too cool to pass up. I think it's a late seventies frame but I can't tell for sure since I can't make out the...
