Evel Knievel 1970's MX Tribute Bike Finished

Finally got around to working on the bike again. This is a simple build but the deadline is coming up real quick. Anyway, I stripped the frame and fork and primed them both. I just have to do the same to the seat struts and handlebars. Hopefully I will get everything painted next weekend. Then...

    AMF Evel Knievel?

Nice find. There are grips available on ebay. They're real close to the originals. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Superior-Bolton-Trail-Handlebar-Grips-7-8-CL-F7-DT-CB-OGK-/271528567145?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3f385d2169&vxp=mtr Here's a pic of the grips side by side. The top is the...

    Camel SST Moto Bike

I found this cool MX bike today. The headbadge says 'Camel' and the tank has 'SST' stickers on it. So I'm guessing it's a Camel SST? I've never seen one before but it's similar to the Yamaha, Kawasaki, Raleigh & Kent Moto Bikes from the seventies. The plastics are all in good shape but the...

    1978 Free Spirit MX-3 ? Maybe. Helllllp!

Cool find!!!! I have a similar Murray Top Cat. Mine's missing all of the plastics. I'd be interested in the rear fender if you decide to sell it. I already have a new front fender. The frame isn't the same as a Murray Fire Cat chopper. It's hard to tell unless you see them side by side. The...

Huffy Pro Thunder Z2 2 speed

Very cool bike!!! I had one when I was eleven. It was my first BMX bike. It took a real beating but it never broke. I ended up selling it for gas money when I turned sixteen and got a car. I got lucky and found an NOS Z2 still in the box a couple of years ago. It's one of my keepers.

    Huffy Thunder Road #4

Awesome find!!!! One of my favorite bikes. I got one when I was seven but sadly it was stolen two years later. Yours looks all original right down to the tires. Excellent condition too.

    1978 Sears Screamer MX restored

That came out awesome!!! Glad you finally found one. That would have looked cool next to Jaxon's Knievel bike.

    I FOUND THE BMX BIBLE

That's an awesome find!!!! But 150 pages and no Huffy's? That's a bummer.

Evel Knievel 1970's MX Tribute Bike Finished

Here are my options for the seat struts/sissy bar. After laying them out I think I'm going to use the struts with the springs. They go with the springer front end that I have so it's pretty much a no brainer.

Evel Knievel 1970's MX Tribute Bike Finished

Switching gears here. I realized that if I use the Huffy it's just going to look like a Thunder Star. So I went back to the shed today after work and pulled this stuff out. I'm gonna build my bike using a Murray MX frame and parts.

Evel Knievel 1970's MX Tribute Bike Finished

Started digging through the shed where I keep my project bikes and parts. I pulled this mostly complete Huffy MX bike out. I may start my build with this, not sure yet. I'm gonna go back and pull out some other stuff to see what I have to work with.

    Check out this old tire.

That tire is off of a late 1970's Huffy RV bike. The most popular one was the Bandit, styled after the Smokey & The Bandit Trans Am. Pretty rare tire. I've never seen them on any other bike.
