Pics from the Biff Burger Bike SHow in FL...

awesome. Me and the wife will also be there. Haven't decided as to which bikes we are bringing yet but it is sure to be a great time. Be sure we track each other down for a ride.

    3G wheels. Opinions?

I have had several sets of 3g wheels and never had a problem. The hubs aren't the best as said above but the front have never had an issue. The rears get changed out with a Nexus 3speed hub immediately so I don't know how they hold up.

    Chop's Color/Jetflow resto-rod

could be Ceebee. Old bikes aren't really my gig. I am more of a custom guy. No pics today but I got the frame down to metal and in primer. I also got the rack, fork, and 3 of the 4 fender braces in primer....then I realized I didn't have any more primer in the paint cabinet. I'll order some...

    Chop's Color/Jetflow resto-rod

I found this old boat beacon lens a few days ago. It took some creative grinding but I finally got it to fit the bezel for the rack. I never understood why the original lens was blue. And the style of the lens really fits the flow of the rack and bezel. I stripped everything down in the...

    Chop's Color/Jetflow resto-rod

It wasn't the first day. I have had the pix in my phone. I think I have about 3 full days into it. The worst was trying to get the fender screw that goes into the fork out. I ended up drilling it out and welded a 1/4-20 bolt in its place. Here are the tins

    Chop's Color/Jetflow resto-rod

A few days ago I pulled the wheels apart. Unfortunately the rear hub was trashed. The coaster shoes had ate away the inside of the hub due to poor maintenance. Its really sad because the rear hubs on these things are really great looking. I had a set of Western Flyer wheels at the shop so I...

    Chop's Color/Jetflow resto-rod

First thing was the tear down and bag / tag all the parts. A few bolts were stuck with rust and had to be cut out. All in all it came apart pretty easily for its age. They had left the batteries in the tank for the light and horn. Bad idea to do that for many years. One looked newer than...

    Chop's Color/Jetflow resto-rod

In fear of things getting lost in the shop I have decided to work on this one at home. Hopefully to spend more time at home with my wife.

    Chop's Color/Jetflow resto-rod

I picked up a ladies JC Higgins Colorflow a few months back and finally have time to get to work on it. It is going to be a resto-rod for my wonderful wife. She puts up with my many hours away from home while I work in the shop, holes in my t-shirts from welding, has stiched me up more than...

3G LINKAGE TRIPLE TREE SPRINGER IN STOCK!

I pulled mine apart tonight. Wont get to the shop until Friday but I am set on chucking it up in the chop saw. I'll let you know how it goes. I'm going try to get the same dimensions as the ratty old springer I have on the Sprung bike.. though I am pretty sure I will have to cut the neck...

3G LINKAGE TRIPLE TREE SPRINGER IN STOCK!

I was thinking of cutting 2-3 coils from each spring then the same amount from the spring tube. That would bring the assembly down to a more bobber style that chopper.

    3G SPRINGER FORK

I picked a used one up. Still waiting for it to show up on the doorstep. They are good looking pieces but just strange enough that I don't think you can throw them on every bike. Does any one have some pics of one cut down low like bobber

    Lets Talk Stretch Value

    fat tire help

I have ran 1.75 on 58mm wheels. 2.125 on 80mm wheels and currently a 1.50 on a 2.125 on the front of the Switchblade. Fill them slowly and constantly check the bead. It may take a few times to get them to hook right. We mounted a 2.125 on a 100mm wheel by using a ratchet strap around the...

Why does everyome hate 24 inch bikes and love 26 inch bikes?

You throw around "hate" like your trying to start a race war. As said above 26" bikes for more people and are therefore more popular. I don't think anyone goes around picking up 24" bikes, shackles them to a wall and talks poorly about their mothers before slowly chaining them down to the bed...
