I have at least 1 possibly 2 of the consoles that I want to get chromed and I could use some of the decals as well. I'll PM you on the consoles for an order after I look at mine.

That's funny because I was going to post that same question about getting the white residue off the tires too. I tried several things and once they dried it came back, so I figured I would go see the guys down at my local tire dealer and see what they'd say. Glad I stumbled across this today...

So I got started and mounted the tires and polished the rims, I'll do a final buff and polish when I get the bike assembled. I also glass beaded the backside of the chrome parts to remove the rust instead of using chemicals, I'll clear coat the undersides later, I also polished the back fender...

Ok, ok I wasn't snowed in, only one day of snow as a last gasp of winter has hopefully passed into spring, now nonstop lawn mowing lol. Wife and I have been watching grand kids all week, going home tonight so back at it. I'll get some pics up tonight or tomorrow with some progress hopefully but...

Well it's been a long winter and we got about 1-1/4 inches of snow yesterday and about a week ago we were in the low 70's, love the upper Midwest! So any way, running out of time to get my grandsons bike done for his birthday so I finally got it stripped today and paint tomorrow. Also working on...

Ok now I'm feeling bad because mine is in a little better condition then yous but it is the same color minus the slight patina yours has. So are you keeping the combo lock attached as part of the build?

Thanks guys, I'll pass on the info. The tubes look intact so the bearings and races should be able to clean up.

Can you tell me what size bearings or races are used for the headtube and crank or what might interchange with it? Thanks

Jaxon, not sure how much CNC work was done on it, by the close up photos it appears to be cast, probably aluminum. Still a cool piece to mount on a muscle bike.
