    Full size 50's ballooner tire bike or some of the other later models that are around. This forum is a great place to see a lot of different makes, models etc. It kind of depends on your budget and what you like. Regards.

    Wheel Lacing help needed

    This is a great thread! I was about to lace my first wheel cross 3, but decided to lace it a cross 4 as it is a 50's s2 26''. Worked out great. 270 mm DT swiss spokes 9/16" nipples, tensioned it up and its already pretty true. Will finish truing tomorrow and post some pic's. Thanks to all...

    The one in Eden was Mar. 1. It's by NC vintage bicycle assoc. Reidsville show is usually Sept. sponsored by Reidsville bicycle. They have a website also. One in Charlotte too, but not sure when. These are usually posted in events section.

    need info on cheapest way to ship a bike

    Bikeflights !!! Shipped a complete middleweight cruiser w26x2.25 tires but no fenders-- North Carolina to Phoenix, Az 46.00. The box was a bike box cut down to the minimum where everything would fit. Arrived in 4 days in perfect condition. Highly recommended. Regards.

    Trike Hub Removal?

    I am guessing that you looked for some kind of retainer bolts,roll pins, etc. The axles/ hubs I had used " J " bolts thru them to keep hubs on axles. They snapped off during disassembley, so drilled them out and went from there. The axles seemed to be soooo rusted to the hubs it felt like it was...

    Currently working on a Schwinn ft hub,axle marked "Germany",axle date stamped 3-60. It has removable inner races and caged ball brgs. The axle threads will go into a 8 X 1.0 mm nut but is loose in the threads, it also will fit into a 5/6" X 24 tpi nut, but only goes in about half way before...

    Typical axle size

    I agree with all said, I find a thread pitch gauge a bunch of help. Some 3/8" front axles have flats ground on the sides to allow use in 5/6" forks.
