I wish i came across these deals all the time! It's getting harder to find a decent price on bikes. Now people want waaaaaayyyyyy too much for anything they consider vintage.

update on the x-53..... frame is bent a bit :( but parts are coming together. I still need the rear reflector and now i need the pedals. one was a mens and one was a woman's pedal. Front fender screw broke in the fork :mad: but i do have the set of fenders. might be a good winter project.....

LMAO!!!!:rofl: That is hysterical! I'm so glad mine didn't come with that letter. I did happen to check for the "g" before i read that post and luckily i didn't have one. AAL16688 is my serial #. Does anyone know how to figure out what # in production?

Nope! But i will see if the dealer received something like that. It's from the local bike shop in a small town and i have some connections to get a hold of him. The shop closed down last year.

I know this is an old posting but i recently got one from my buddy. Wondering what they are worth? I have gotten quite a gew offers but dont know what they really are worth now.

I'm going to do a full restore. Not sure what i can do about all the rust on the chrome but since i'm not out any funds yet shouldnt be a big deal to invest a bit.
