Ok, First let me say nice find, lots of potential. $40 no bad for a older girls rider. The serial number thing has me stumped as you are correct they started putting them on the headtube in 1970, by then the second letter was F so E would mean 69 and then the number should have not been there...

Really like the Patina of the paint, That looks really cool with the wide whites! Looks like it should come out sweet!

I would likely buy it, I would offer $50. Looks like the chain is missing, the seat looks wrong and the grips are wrong, hopefully the rims are correct S-7's cannot tell by the pic. Midgets were the 16" bikes. Juniors are 20" bikes that were made for slightly smaller riders as a lot of the parts...

Got this yesterday, answered an ad for some girls Stingrays and brought this home too. It's a 74 Town and Country, rough but everything is loose and turns fine. Has the 3 speed and the removable basket. Don't know if I will fix it up or part it out, seems to be complete.

Sweet Ride nice score for the Money. Looks to be in good shape.

Scored this one from Craig's, first year Fastback that's mostly all there. Been wanting an early year shifter bike for a while and this being Radiant Coppertone made it all the sweeter. Rims are arrow straight, shifts fine, and rides smooth. Will give this one a good cleanup, a little...

Went to the Rockford bike show last weekend and picked up these two. First is a 74 Opaque Red Deluxe Stingray, this color was only offered for 1 year. My second find is this 64 Stingray Frame that I verified the date code off the serial number as Oct. 64, Future rebuild project indeed.

Update, Sold the Crazy Chopper last weekend at the Rockford Bike Show. Went to a good home, the buyer plans to put it on display behind his Bar as a conversation piece. Sorry, Skip no ride videos.
