Im not sure. I live in nj but work in nyc. It seems if you live there you have to be rich to also own a car. And to own a car almost seems like more a nuisance than it’s worth. It seems like living there at all is a statement. But they do use bikes a lot.

Oh all my bikes have turned into this kind of build. I honestly like the higher pressure tires like k rad or holy roller. Most have a wald or Akisu straight fork, and a 4 bolt stem of some sort. I was thinking if I had to buy a set of tires maybe I’d try to be a little more period correct...

On these 26” bmx or strandie bikes what tire would be appropriate, for a given year, or brand? The cheap stud style tire seems to work well with these builds, but what color, for what style, or year, or whatever would have made them put certain tire on them?

that cool. I see talk kind of cargo bikes around NYC sometimes I think it would be cool to build one but I have no use where I live. I still think it's funny to see people take like 3 kids to school on a cargo bike.

I have bmx tube fork on most of my bikes. I removed the wald fork from this one to use on my varsity trail bike. I had thick bricks on it and didn’t like the way it rode. I put these crusty old Electra white walls that take more Psi. It’s better but it still steers funky.

Do all blade forks steer like crap? I have this straight bar schwinn I had built up as klunker, decided to go more of a rat cruiser. Put a typhoon blade fork on it and I feel it wander around turns

One of the modern jump starters would probably work for that. They are small and light. But kind inexpensively only using for hand warmers.
