Well I'm done with the kick stand and I am labeling this bike DONE! It's time to scout out a good place for pictures but before I do that I'm taking my dogs Kodi and Gator for a walk. Thank you all for your input, comments and encouragement. Thanks to my wife, my son and good friend...

Here are some pictures of my kick stand. Welding, cut and grinding done by my son, then I added a light coat of filler and sanded and painted a gloss gray color....... And I have decided I hate the color. What was I thinkin' Yeah, I got to repaint that kick stand!

Thank you everyone for all for your input. I am very pleased that the bike has turned out well and I am close to calling it finished. I like both handlebars, but the cruiser style with the nice rusty patina works well with the bike.

I'm thinking of adding this doodad to the kick stand.... If time allows. Weld, fill , then cut off remaining stub. That curl would be facing downward when the kick stand is up, so it will be out of the way of pedal. This is what the bike looks like currently. I was going to make some hand grips...

Wanted to then make the white and the frame look aged so I used a paint trick I stole from Fordsnake. I spayed windex before I applied a light dusting of chocolate brown and the a dusting of Rust-oleum textured paint. I have then refreshed the orange pin striping. (sorry no pictures) I felt...

Yes, the glue I used was white. I sprayed glue on both the seat and the material.

It appears we have the same vision for the fork struts. Looks Good!
