I could not find that catalog number in any of my references - 47720 would be the Sears part/ catalog item number of the bike - did find a 47772 as a 5 speed. I'm pretty sure this bike left the factory as a multispeed model - hard to see in your photos, but. 1) any signs of washer markes...

watching intently for results. Simple Green plating sounds interesting, will have to try that. I actually have the Caswell chrome kit and have yet to try it out , need to spend a day tinkering and see how it works.

looks good - that Duro slick is a good fit on the Fairlady, nice 'inbetween' size.

Looks a lot like this one - tall seat tube, etc. As asked, placement of the hole for guard bolt is the key to what it had, either this guard ( front bolt on bottom ), or the Cheater slick style with the rail type top bracket.

Ditto - two thumbs way up to the finishers !!!! And all competitors as well. I know how hard it is to get one done under a deadline, have not been able to finish one yet, lol. it's a build-off curse (at least for dragons ). Been a blast to watch along with y'all , and will hopefully still get...

ditto on the wrench, going to have to get me one of those. As for color, depends how original you want to look - if you prefer a 'could have been' look, then I always liked the Chopper light-medium blue color. But if you want Kustom, then go for it and do a bright candy or metalflake job :) .

wow - those came out great, hard to believe they're the same fenders. Agree with Luike, a little patina will blend right in and have the look. ( when I first got into bikes I wanted everything perfect, so repainted some I never should have,tore some down that never got done,etc.. lately...

nice work on the GTR. Where did you get your decals ? Been trying to find a headbadge sticker for my CCM Mustang ( the rectangular one ).
