Looks like one of those synthetic feather dusters... And I'm with eagleye, I'd rather have the van (been on the prowl for one actually ). I had a seat in a lot I bought a few years back was redone in fake fuzzy fur,purple,and the seat mount rewelded way forward, must have been on some sort...

That's one thing seems to have gone waaaay up in price , is old tires, and banana seats. Tire prices seem crazy the last year or so, are they just drying up ? ( figuratively and literaly, lol ) ?

Sadly, no longer have my big pieces of 69 either... parted this one out after a ,umm,mishap... 396/375 hp/TH400/4.10s (11.24@124). Wish I had pics of the 69 Chevelle. 396,350hp,4 speeed,triple black :( Do have THIS 69 still :)

The mirror looks pretty nice . Will watch for chrome info - I bought one of those small 'brush-plating' sets about a year ago and have yet to even try it out... :( So much to do...

Great job on the guard stencil, came out spot on. I'd like to hear more about the walnut shells, chain looks great... are you using like a rock tumbler ? or what ? I have a small ultrasonic cleaner I got from a local jeweler that went out of business, neverhave tried it out for nuts/bolts/etc...

Nice looking decals. Crash - if you can find the sticker Huffy one, you can make a fairly good looking badge by applying to a piece of aluminum (think pop can or thicker if you can find something ), then rivet it one like original. ps: I have rivets if you, or anyone, needs some, had to buy...

Not going to be much help on the headset. I usually clean and reuse the cups unless really bad, sometimes new bearing fit, sometimes no - the ones on my 68 24" Spyder are screwy diameter, even compared to other murray ( newer ) that I have. Schwinn is the oddball on the BB, that and vintage...

great comparison shot of the frames.. will file that away for reference... now you just need a rail frame in there. :) I have a pretty rough 26" frame I have been kicking around cutting down to rail size for a few years, but since I don't have an actual rail frame to compare / measure...

66 dated bars,sweep down style = 66 fastback only ( 67 fastback AND stingray used those, but not in 66 ),68 bars would have been on ALL stingrays, including fairlady,etc... so much more common ? Unsure otherwise.. I know the early 63-65 bars bring crazy money. That seems a lil high for the 66...

I think the long stack with four rows of holes would look good, reminds me of 70s era sidepipes, those are more solid at front, then the baffle / covers section.
